any ideas if this will work well? -

on this site you will see pictures of split bamboo domes... that's what makes me think you could do it.
if you split your skinny bamboo in two, does it feel strong or is it flimsy?
split bamboo bends weaves easier. -

someone told me that my bamboo is in the "rush" family and it may not be bamboo. but it sure looks like it. and grows fast as hell. when i cut a piece down, it hydras and has 4 new sprouts shoot up.
i have not tried splitting it in 2, i will try this sometime this week and get back with your
