Featured Guests:
Bobby Friction and Nihal (BBC Radio 1) -- the ambassadors of the sound of the British Asian Urban Nation bring their relentless dance floor energy to NYC

State of Bengal (stateofbengal.com, beetlenutrecords.com) -- One of the pioneers and true statesmen of world electrionic sounds joins us again at Sub Swara.

DJ Deekline (Botchit & Scarper, Rat Records)-- One of the kingpins of breakbeat makes his Sub Swara debut with his bag of booty-bounce grooveology in tow. Deekline and production partner Wizard also have a new album coming out in 2006 so here’s your chance to check out some exclusive unreleased stompers.

Navdeep (Mutiny)-- The triumphant return to the wheels of steel of the genre-bending DJ/producer/turntablist/percussionist extraordinaire, voted New York's best DJ by New York Press. Navdeep is also currently at work on new material to follow his brilliant debut album, Yaathra.

DK aka BollyGirl NYC (Kollektiv, Avaaz)-- brings her unique brand of hard-hitting transcultural breaks to the dance floor with special guest, Sangeeta, on vocals. DK’s eagerly anticipated release with the Goonda crew is expected drop later in 2006.

SUB SWARA RESIDENTS:
Dhruva | Sunder | Haj

VISUAL DJ: Pictureman (Insomnia Projects)

Smithmonger Bio:

Smithmonger was originally a professional trumpet player who trained at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music before turning his attention to underground dance music. He moved to London 5 years ago and has turned heads with past releases on wicked labels such as Loaded, TCR, 10Kilo, Hooj Choons, and Bushwakka's Oblong.

In the last three years, it's safe to say everyone from Coxy to Boy George has had a Smithmonger tune in their box and Monger has officially made his entry to the big leagues. The year's started off with a massive Breaks release on Boombox in January called 'Hey'. It was caned by the likes of Lee Coombs and Atomic Hooligan. This was followed by a stormer on 10kilo called 'Seen it all Before' which went in with a bullet at No. 1 in DJ Mag's Breaks chart and No. 18 on the UK Cool Cuts Chart. Oblong released 'Get it Oun' in May to huge reactions (Number 3 in Carl Cox's June chart) and Paul has just signed another Tech-House project to Visitor in Belgium. Ministry of Sound released a wicked breaks 12'' in August (No 6 in the breaks chart) and Paul has come on board with Fingerlickin' Records and Signed a 12'' for their new imprint 'VA Breaks'. Called 'Buxom', this debuted at number 7 in the breaks chart. The year is indeed looking good. He's just remixed The Propeller Heads, Rennie Pilgrem and Robert Owins and with numerous DJ dates, the future is bright for Smithmonger.
