You heard right. The Passage (you, know the massive steel mother and child you saw on the playa in 05) will be installed at SF's Pier 14 on June 16th! It's big news for all of us, and Steve's working hard to help make it happen. Whacking, welding, whatever it takes...
Come check out the pieces while they are being readied for their SF debut. Currently, the mom is freestanding (!) outside the American Steel Building at 20th and Mandela Parkway in Oakland. She'll be on her back again soon, tho, for more plastic surgery. :-)
I'm going out there tomorrow, and probably most of the rest of the week to do my part. So, come on down! Beer and wine donations are always much appreciated!
