After our Steven packed his car for Tribal Fusion Faire last weekend, it was broken into and he lost everything: all of his tribal costuming, jewelry, MAC makeup, music, iPod, everything.
If you, your students, your friends, or your troupemates happen to have any extra tribal costuming that might be appropriate for his style, I know it would make a lovely holiday gift. His favorite colors are black and red. M34 pants, NC30 powder, black eyeliner, black shadow, brown contour, crazy unique jewelry and accessories, please see his profile and tribe pictures for more ideas.
Contact me if you need his mailing address.

Brightest holiday blessings,
Bonnie

Re: Thieves suck, but Tribal rules
Thu, December 20, 2007 - 8:23 AMI left him a note in his blog to PM me with his wish list. I have skads of costuming bits & fabric & tribal stuff he's welcome to have. I must have been a Magpie in my previous life because I hoard everything (fabric, trim, tribal jewlery) & I'm sure I'd probably have somethig he'd be able to use.

Re: Thieves suck, but Tribal rules
Thu, December 20, 2007 - 2:09 PMI was so angry to hear about this happening. How can someone take what is obviously so much of another person's life? But Steven was amazing - he still performed, and did so beautifully. -

Re: Thieves suck, but Tribal rules
Fri, December 21, 2007 - 2:19 PMThat totally sucks.
This is sort of a side note but is totally related as i know a LOT of dancers travel with a TON of stuff in their cars. I've had my car broken into when it was FULLLLL of stuff to and it SUCKS.
Get renters insurance. You may monthly and its REALLY not expensive. Mine covers up to 20% of the value of all my belongings OUTSIDE of my home. Be thorough when you apply and take into consideration all your jewelry and costuming etc. When my car was broken into, within 2 weeks of filing my claim, I had a check for over $2000 to cover my losses. Sure, some things are irreplaceable sometimes, but lots of things are. Knowing that you will be able to buy it again is a HUGE relief to your mind and your pocketbook. I think i pay LESS that 30 or 40 a month and it saved me when my car was broken into.
People suck. I hate thieves. -

Re: Thieves suck, but Tribal rules
Fri, December 21, 2007 - 5:18 PMI really hope this thief isn't another dancer. If so, and they decide to wear his costuming, it will be oh so obvious to us that it is Steven's.
Naughty Monkeys.
