Greetings All!
This is a small quiet tribe, at least for the past year. In that time, many things have changed worldwide, in regards to information and archeological evidence concerning the Jesus Movement: THANK THE GODS! As most of you know, I have drawn back from blogging (specifically on this tribe), because who likes to preach to the choir all the time? It’s no fun writing for one, believe me, the quiet is deafening!!! It gets old and the times, tumultuous and full, has called me to other avenues of expression, especially since the return of pilgrimage (the American Camino), in September 2007.
In the meantime, Barrie Wilson's new book has come onto the scene, "How Jesus Became Christian". As soon as James Tabor (jesusdynasty.com) recommended Wilson's book, I bought it. Now, I am reading it; the process is intense and deserves dialogue. So, if y'all are interested in such a dialogue, please post your wishes so I can get to writing. If not, your silence speaks volumes and I will continue to read, digest and tackle who ever comes to Toad House. I will forcibly read them Wilson’s words, prefacing them with: NO, I DIDN'T WRITE THIS, SOMEONE ELSE DID, A PHD FROM CANADA. SO, I’VE HAS BEEN SHARING THESE CONCEPTS FOR 38 YEARS. NOW, SOMEONE ELSE BESIDES TABOR IS TELLING THE SAME STORY; LISTEN IF YOU DARE!!!
Unsolicited advice from your moderator: BUY THIS BOOK, IF YOU DESIRE CLARITY ON THE JESUS MOVEMENT FROM A DIFFERENT SOURCE NOT GENERATED FROM PAST-LIFE MEMORY—WELL, AT LEAST ON THE SURFACE…;>)

Wed, June 4, 2008 - 9:56 AMThanks for the post, GLR!
Ok, we have one person posting out of 15. So, as I said before, your silence speaks volumes. But, I would just like to ask y'all: why are you in this tribe when no one wants to exchange ideas, discuss views, etc. concerning the Jesus Movement and/or reincarnation? How about just asking a question?
It looks as if one must come to Toad House to be tackled with this information. Or simply buy the book, read the basis for this tribe (MY NAME IS JAMES) and continue to do your quiet THANGGGGG....
Catch me on my art tribe for latest pieces and the color that floats my boat...
Blessings and good luck to you all!!! -
