I noted that signators include President Jimmy Carter. I chose to leave the Christian church entirely four years ago, primarily over their widespread support of an unethical U.S. invasion of a soverign nation. Now it seems that support of torture methods are widespread throughout the faith community. Thankfully a few pastors, rabbis, and other people of faith are now stating the obovious, that the ends do not justify the means..that torture in any form is unethical. Those who believe in God need to change course (repent) on this issue, condem torture in all forms, and pray for our persecuters (just as Jesus plainly spelled out in the Bible).
