sin tax and the City gets its piece

i just found out (was out of the loop for awhile) that the city of houston has put its own 5$ cover on every strip club door. a legal business, allowed to operate and under no penalty or broken laws, earns a 'sin'-tax making itself complicit in its own perceived immorality. the hypocrisy and violation-by-judgement/fining of my choice is nothing less than a violation of my civil rights. has this been defeated in other cities? if so (or not) how can we unite to repeal this?

Bad Girl Liz's Economic News

My dearest friend Ariel just reminded me I recently said this in response to our economy:

"In times of economic woes, it may be difficult to afford a Louis Vuitton but everyone can afford a Louis Strap On !"

--- I shall now continue to stay conscious of our declining economy and its symbiotic dynamic with the increasing deviance in our society.

Info on Strip Clubs? Texas, Arizona Vegas ?

Someone was asking me about what clubs are good to work in in Arizona or Texas. I haven't worked in those circuits. Can any suggest a club????

This is all the info I know:......

There are quite a few places I heard that are great in Texas. Dallas Fort worth area is best.

I read the book Strip City by Lily Burana and she makes mention of some kick ass clubs in Texas.
This one looks way cool http://www.the-lodge.com/

As far as Arizona.... every girl I have met from there is stunning. So I imagine that the clubs girls do well there.
However, I don't know of a particular place.

Stay away from any Deja Vu's or Little Darling's. They tend to rape the girls of their tips and take a huge percentage of what you make. Great business model for the owners but not the girls Plus they are nude with no alcohol Not my idea of a good time.

If you are going to travel far to strip, do Vegas. You will need a sheriff's card which is easy to get but takes about a day.
There is a little song and dance to get it too.

You can't work in a club with out one. But you can't get one with out working at a club. So first hit up some clubs and try to get hired. They give you some piece of paper saying they are going to hire you.
Then go down to the sheriffs station. It has moved around a couple times but easy to get to by cab.

I believe you need a copy of your birth certificate or something. You may want to call to find out what you need.
It is just like the DMV, take a number and sit with the weirdos until its called. But once you get it, you are good for 5 years. I believe it is about $80-100. Once you have the card in your hot little hands you can go back to the original club or walk in to any others.

I recommend Spearmint Rhino, great money, open 24 hours, shifts are either at 7pm, 10 pm Midnight or 3 am (ouch) But I made great money there at one time. The hustle is easy.

Treasures is a barbie doll high end bullshit with glass booths as vip and the champagne room is crap. But it is clean and nice looking. I got a lap dance ticket there once. And the managers treated me like a crack whore once I got it. Vice ticketed 25 girls that night. Then the managers way to handle it was they wanted me to give them an obscene amount of money to their "lawyers" to fight it. It was all bullshit some kind of racket I tell ya. I fought them, fought for my dignity, and found a lawyer who helped me for next to nothing.

Sapphire is like a gymnasium and lots of hip hop rollers there. Easy to get hired and make some coin. The house mom rocks and they bring in gourmet dinners for purchase through out the night. That may be the best bet. especially with this bootie you talk about. I got myself a bootie too. So shake your money maker.

Cheetah's is cool and last I heard Paradise was decent.

If all that fails, try bachelor parties. You get paid a flat rate for the hour. Usually 100 bucks. Plus you get shit loads of tips for doing the silliest things. My girls make about $300-$600 per hour show. No sex! Except maybe with your self for a lot of money for their viewing pleasure. You can check out my site at www.badgirlpro.com

Hope that helps you.

Much Love

Hi ladies!

Liz asked me to post this here. If any of you are in the SFBay area, I hope you can make it tonight.

***
The Art of Partnership

The word "partner" gets tossed around all the time, but rarely do we take the time to examine what partner actually means within the context of relationships. In this workshop, we will explode the myths and fantasies around partnership and learn how to dance with and enhance both your individualism and togetherness.

Whether you're in a relationship, or want to be, join relationship educator Marcia Baczynski as we explore the concept of partnership as a distinct relationship style. Discover what it means to be a partner to someone else, learn how to cultivate partnership in your life, and find out what successful partnerships have in common.

To Register: tinyurl.com/24ubyf

About Marcia:
As co-creator of Cuddle Party, Marcia has worked with thousands of people, teaching them about boundary-setting, non-sexual intimacy, and effective interpersonal communication. As a consultant, she works with clients to create sex-positive programming for media and educational settings, bringing her savvy and insight about race, gender and sexual representations to the table. As a coach, Marcia works with individuals and couples to create the kinds of relationships they want, with a focus on transition.

Marcia has appeared on the Montel Williams show, Fox News, Penn & Teller's Bullshit, the Sex Files, Sex TV, and Life & Style, on NPR, Maxim radio, and Cosmo radio, and in Marie Claire, GQ, People, and Newsweek. She lives in New York and travels regularly.
Category: Civil Rights

Region: United States of America

Target: Gary Ackerman, NY state congressman

Description/History:

Strippers have very difficult, hard lives. They feel degraded by their work. But they have no choice, and little or no education. Their only choice is to do this. But do the managers and stip clubs take care of them? Not at all. Do they have a contract? Few do. They receive unwanted sexual attention and are forced to put up with sick-minded men touching them, although they must keep at a distance. They need rights. They need people to help them find better jobs. They are not animals, they are people too. People who had mostly terrible, abusive families that did not care about them. They get little money, and often have children at home that need to eat. They have little rights recognized or enforced by the law. Please help these achieve the American dream, go to college. Because this is not what they really want.

This is the website I found the post:

I have just visited GoPetition and found the following page very interesting:

http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/strippers-have-rights.html

I chose to respond to Ms. Leor Farkas, the author of this petition.

My Response:

This is not an incredibly powerful description of the life of a stripper.

I am concerned that this 'petition' has perhaps wasted N.Y. state congressman, Gary Ackerman's time.

I am not clear on a few items mentioned in your petition.

"Unwanted sexual attention " Unwanted?? Strippers have chosen freely to be stripping. Please, do let me know if there is a Stripper Enslavement Camp that I do not know about. Also, I believe 'sexual attention' is what the job entails.

"Forced to put up with sick-minded men touching them," Forced? Sick-minded?
Strippers have chosen freely to be in the adult industry as a stripper. Again, please let me know if there is a Stripper Enslavement Camp that I do not know about.

Could you please clearly define what you mean by 'sick-minded'?

I know there are a lot of religious guilt messages that sex is bad or part of a 'sick' behavior. Some people believe that if you think about sex you are deemed "sick minded". I request clarification upon this term.

"People who had mostly terrible, abusive families that did not care about them." Currently there are over 250,000 women who strip in the U.S. What kind of research have you done to come up with these findings?

"Please help these achieve the American dream, go to college. Because this is not what they really want." An American English writing class may be able to help you with sentence structure. I would like your plea for "Strippers Rights" to be honored and received correctly. If the material is presented intelligently, perhaps you can achieve the American dream of being heard by our political leaders and fellow citizens of the web.

I support your concerns for strippers' rights.

I support stripping as a powerful choice.

I am stripper who is proud, loved and educated.

What can you ask for to BE, FEEL and LIVE empowered?

Perhaps to move to greater empowerment you need to see the areas of life where you are DIS-EMPOWERED

To be dis-empowered is not a bad or good thing. It just IS.
It IS OK to have areas in your life that are Dis-Empowered.

Where do you FEEL Dis-Empowered?
How do you LIVE in a Dis-Empowered way?
