THE SUNRISE CELEBRATION IS BACK

‘A New Dawn for UK Festival Culture’

The Sunrise Summer Celebration returns to the fields of south Somerset from May 31st to June 3rd 2007. With the phenomenal success and critical acclaim of the 2006 event that took place over the summer solstice, the organisers are promising an even 'greener' and more entertaining festival. The capacity has now increased to 10000 and promises more top live acts and performers. The unique layout of the festival continues with the mandala of 13 unique areas of entertainment, creativity, music, permaculture, circus, performance arts and talks and workshops.

"We like to think we are hosting a space for the most cutting-edge and green ways of life for the general populus. Our focus is on setting the standard in festival production that is ethical, sustainable and can be carried in to daily life. From the compost toilets and solar powered areas, to the alternative education and live acts, we want to bridge the gap between the green movement and those that enjoy an exciting festival atmosphere" says Dan Hurring, one of the organisers.

2006 saw top-draw acts such as Eat Static, Arthur Brown, Seize the Day, Dreadzone, Martha Tilston and System 7 grace the main stage, whilst international authors such as Graham Hancock and Jonathan Cainer held multimedia presentations on astrology and ancient cultures. Look out for the exclusive Dreadzone CD launched this month, ‘Live at Sunrise’, that was recorded at the 2006 event. It is available from the Sunrise Celebration website.

The event also broke new ground in environmental and ethical standards with a site-wide organic and ethical policy and over 60 compost toilets. The site is entirely powered by bio-diesel and other renewable resources, allowing the more hi-tech end of events production to blend with the grassroots green festival experience. The 2007 event will feature an 'Organic Alliance' of ethical organisations, events organizers, multicultural and arts groups and green business, showcasing state-of-the-art aspects of sustainable lifestyles and culture.

dreams do come true

a wide eyed elf in the crystal lands of elphinstone, i have dreamed of creating something similar to crystal and spore - www.crystalandspore.com - a full multi:media learning environment which can serve to download in a deep and transformative way some of the leading skillsets in an emerging visionary culture rooted in sustainability.

my dream is help create learning environments which speak to every sense and work directly in the soul:body union - exploring and expanding the boundaries of transformative learning. inspiring the emergence of the new paradigms through beauty and love emerging through the sentient architecture of direct experience.

i am doing that :) i just realized - i'm doing it now (!!!) my dream is literally coming true.

this event that i'm working on this summer soulstace, sunrise celebration in avalon - www.sunrisecelebration.com - i am co:ordinating the visionary arts and culture area for the festival with a pan:gaia and chris wizard. the following is from an email i just wrote to everyone involved:

i will be over:seeing the rainbow of visions
and permaculturing to some degree

ensuring that one hand knows what the other is doing
i will make connections, suggestions, and maps
integrating the memetics, activities and sound:scapes
as well as helping with the dynamic of visual worlds
seeding the full meta:sensory integrity and flow
as a whole and cohesive, interactive learning environment

my dream come true... only faaar more beautiful than i could have possibly dreamed. this vac area will feature five autonomous domes and some... music, learning environmetns, the elfintome, 4 visionary art galleries, a labyrinth - it will have a series of visual screens which can work separately or together.

oh ... my ... goddess.

can there be anything but gratitude?
i have been invited, totally out of the blue

Crystals at the celebration

High Greetings,

not sure if here is the best place to post this.. but i have been in touch through the website form and not sure if that is working or not.

i have this strong call to run a small crystal stall selling crystals and crystal jewellery (all handmade, some macrame knots and some coconut stuff from brazil). Is it of any interest or is there any possibility?

it would be nice to know either yes or not, so I can...

i've been studying crystal and energy healing for a long while and am willing to sell the material with all the healing information and care, raising consciousness and helping in the spiritual growth.

Sunrise Celebration Invitation

A big thankyou to Samaya for doing so much to promote this event via Tribe.net. And my own apologies for not being present on this tribe enough myself.
I will take this opportunity to humbly invite you all to this event - intended to be a New Dawn for Festival Culture in the UK, a new generation of Global Family Gathering.

I will also take this opportunity to shamelessly promote IFly who I have been very slack in promoting in recent times but who are amazing Australian brothers who, potentially, will be returning for this event. Their website can be found at www.iflyaway.net.
Also, I would like to take this opportunity to promote Avalon Roots Collective, who though, like IFly, are somewhat distanced from each other currently, will no doubt be returning this summer to bless us with their beautiful music.
