But I've changed it's name, given the economy. What we need now is practical wisdom rather than esoteric wisdom.

Whether you are employed or not, looking for a better job or not, facing a balloon mortgage or not, debt free or over your head... this financial crisis is for better or for worse forcing us to change our American way of life and redefining perhaps permanently what the middle and working class lifestyle shall be.

I am not a survivalist, and though the participation of survivalists is welcome, I don't believe people with existing homes, the majority of whom are in suburbs near urban centers, can sell at anything less than a loss and be able to move out of the cities and live off the land. My focus is what people can do if they can still keep their homes.

But there are lifestyle changes on how we live, eat, entertain ourselves, which can drastically reduce our expenses while still affording us some quality of life.
