Alright... this thing started on Tribe, but the number of members on Facebook just overtook the number of members on Tribe by 1. Let's go on a recruitment drive people! Tribe must be #1!!!

Re: Tribe vs Facebook
Sat, February 7, 2009 - 10:07 AMyeah, but you know the ones on Facebook never actually look at their 'groups'. Or view announcements from a group as being an intrusion. It's just not a good interface for groups in general.

Sun, February 8, 2009 - 12:25 PMi appreciate this, Brian! The fact of the matter is that we're trying to lure our old members back but I doubt anything other than a full-rewrite of tribe (which is in the works!) will lure people from the crawling chaos of Facebook!
Hang in there, though! -

Re: Tribe vs Facebook
Sun, February 8, 2009 - 7:04 PMI like Facebook better for social networking because it's more immediate and has way, way more members. But its group interactivity sucks and its high profile in the "straight world" means my posts there are decidedly PG-13. So, Tribe is better for group cohesion in special interests, and for flagrant naughtiness. Perhaps there's room for both in this big 2.0 world, eh? -
