i'll start this thread by reporting 2 recent encounters with the symbol known as the horn of plenty (a horn shaped container filled to overflowing with fruits & vegetables).
!. recently someone uploaded a picture to the image gallery at Alchemy The Royal Art tribe of this symbol, right here on Tribe.net.
2: today i discovered a book about kaliedoscopes in which i found an illustration of a kaliedoscope-like pattern prominently featuring repetitions of the horn of plenty, drawn by a Betty TRIBE.

Re: synchronicities
Sun, December 31, 2006 - 2:18 AMI have this happen with songs on the radio sometimes. I'll be in a some situation and feeling a little uneasy about what's going on, and a song will come over the radio that answers my doubts or affirms my thinking. I remember once years ago I was hitchhicking home from the west coast fromr this kind of confused and wandering trip, I was kind of burnt out and wondering what I was doing. I was in the back of someone's car and Dylan's Like A Rolling Stone came on. The chorus, "How does it feel to be on your own, a complete unknown..." really picked me up, made me feel like Yeah! It feels pretty good to be on my own! When it comes down to it, all you really have is yourself to depend on.
Another time I was at work and was getting chewed out for something by my manager, and the Beatles' Revolution comes on the radio. It picked up my spirits and in my mind just kind of laughed off what the manager was saying. There's been other times this has happened, but these are the two times that stick in my memory. -

Re: synchronicities
Mon, January 1, 2007 - 5:45 PMAs conventional logic is replaced by so-called "third logic", synchronicities are bound to be seen more and more. A few years ago it DID surprised me, but not now. It takes some time to get accustomed to magick perception when you know for sure only one thing: there is no limits to knowledge and power in quantum universe.

Re: synchronicities
Sun, January 7, 2007 - 8:03 PMnow i have to report 2 interconnected synchronicities.
1. one of the prints included in an art show by a local artist currently on display in one of the rooms of our local downtown library reminds me VERY STRONGLY of the children's book The Little Prince, because its imagery ( a little blond boy sitting & a shape that resembles a hat) could've come straight out of that book, *plus* the drawing style closely matches that of the book's illustrations, so i thought "OBVIOUSLY this woman has read The Little Prince." i asked her, & she said no, she hasn't!
2. today in that same gallery i met someone else while she set up a table for a reading group on...you guessed it, The Little Prince! i pointed the picture in question out to her, & NO, she hadn't noticed it before at all. she shared im my amazement at the picture's synchronistic connection with the book, & further pointed out that the picture's presence there can't have influenced her choice to hold her reading group in that room because she started holding it there before the current exhibition had gotten set up! -

Re: synchronicities
Tue, February 20, 2007 - 4:43 PMI've taken as a totem the Pileated Woodpecker, which with its loud laugh, was the model for Woody Woodpecker. There are quite a few around here, and one even lives in a hole in a sycamore tree behind my shop. These birds are really loud, they like to be heard across the woods, so my synchronistic oracle moments are when I'm thinking of something and one of the woodpeckers lets loose with a loud laugh. -

Tue, June 19, 2007 - 1:39 PMyesterday i watched a video clip of someone playing Song For My Father by Horace Silver, then later same day passed a coffeehouse with the song Ricky Don't Lose That Number audible from the cd play in there...both of those tunes begin with exactly the same opening notes (the piano part). -

Tue, August 28, 2007 - 11:08 AMthis morning, immediately after reading that today's the anniversary of Martin Luther King's speech I Have A Dream, i noticed that someone had posted something new on Dream Post tribe here on Tribe.net, AND a picture and text appeared on my homepage concerning a dream that a Tribe Friend had early this morning immediately before waking in time to catch the lunar eclipse! -

Re: synchronicities
Tue, August 28, 2007 - 6:57 PMNedloh, your synchronicities are multilayered!
Last week, I heard the word 'defenestrated' for the first time, and was wholely amused. Also last week, I read in a fictional book about a defenestration!
Last week, someone named James, who wants to join my csa, replied to my question what is his wife's name with "Mona". My grandparents were James and Mona.
Last week, I had so many responses to my desire to pursue art as a full-time (seasonal) living that I quit my winter job.
Last week was a good week.

This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.
Re: synchronicities
Tue, August 28, 2007 - 6:58 PMcorrection: the defenestration only happened in the book, I had no idea I'd run across it when I picked the book up.

Re: synchronicities
Wed, August 29, 2007 - 1:11 AMthese kinds of things happen to me all the time. I believe in that "collective unconscious" thing...though, I think it is a mystical thing..that we are connecting into a spiritual plane of consciousness in which there is unity and connection between things.
I wish I could recall some of the specifics....if my memory were better.... -

Re: synchronicities
Wed, August 29, 2007 - 3:34 AMlike ancient peoples developing the same kinds of tools around the same era, scientists scattered across the globe discovering the same thing at the same time. which reminds me, i'm currently reading The Celestine Prophecy which seems to be thus far, about synchronicities & how they are explained in a modern (somewhat) rational world. it's an interesting read so far. -

Re: synchronicities
Wed, August 29, 2007 - 8:58 AMI found that whole series of books interesting, altho it smacks of a religion once you get to the subsequent books. Pardon me, I'm a bit skeptical of man made ideas at the moment. Sure, there's evidence abound that something's up, bigger, more than we can see. Man just seems to f%$# it up every time.

Re: synchronicities
Wed, August 29, 2007 - 11:39 AMI think there are positive synchronicities and negative ones. If they are hurting you, step away - I was involved in a relationship which involved nearly mind-boggling coincidences, and it wasn't worth it.Just because something "seems" as if it was set up by some cosmic scheme doesn't mean it's good for you. -

just because something is supernatural, doesn't mean it is good.

Re: synchronicities
Thu, August 30, 2007 - 10:41 PMAs with things like the energy in reiki, it only stands to reason that well intentioned practitioners would direct the flow of energy outward, toward the person (or whatever) in need. It also stands to reason that there are illintentioned people that might ask for the energy to flow the other way.
That being said, the idea of synchronicity is simply amazing. That it can't be explained by chance, or coincedence, that the frequency suggests that there is an underlying meaning and connectedness to the more than random events cannot be argued with. When the patterns arrive, one has to question the meaning, source and substance of it. -

Re: synchronicities
Mon, September 3, 2007 - 10:05 AMfrom yesterday...
around noon i went to a bar. at one point the bartender began to dust the shelves where they keep the bottles. when she removed some of the bottles, i could see something that normally remains semi-hidden: a model of a sea ship.
later, i read a short story about a high school student who constructs a model ship for a school assignement.
then in the evening, while reading magazines in a book store, i found a photo in one of them of a model ship.
the first event did NOT influence the second and third, nor did the second influence the third. -

Mon, December 31, 2007 - 10:53 AMyesterday morning i interrupted myself from reading, in a book about the film maker Alejandro Jodorowsky, a description of his movie Tusk (about an elephant) to use the computer. i soon found that Wikipedia's feature article of the day concerned Ganesha, the elephant-headed Hindu deity. -

Wed, January 2, 2008 - 2:40 PMyesterday, within about 20 minutes of eachother, i encountered 2 old acquaintences i hadn't seen in years who came back to town for a visit. the first currently lives in Oakland. the second had stopped in Oakland just before arriving here in Santa Barbara. -

Re: synchronicities
Thu, January 3, 2008 - 4:04 PMI believe in synchronicities also...I think they point to an underlying Universal Consciousness...
In Buddhism, 108 scriptures survived some period, so 108 is a sacred number. I always see that popping up all over, in odd places -

Re: synchronicities
Fri, January 4, 2008 - 4:23 PM2 synchronicities yesterday!
1. in the morning i found out that it was the birth anniversary of Father Damien (Joseph Veuster) who is revered for his dedication to serving the members of the leper colony on the Hawaiian island of Kaluapapa. later on, same day...by chance i found a photo of Hindu spiritual teacher Amma hugging a leper.
2. in the evening i went to a bookstore looking for a copy of Finnegans Wake by James Joyce (they had it but not the edition i wanted)...so at the exact moment that i had my hand on the book, i overheard someone asking the clerk where they had books by James Joyce! -

Re: synchronicities
Sat, January 5, 2008 - 3:50 PMI have a lot of stuff with clocks...
like I will look over and see significant numbers...
numbers with various kinds of spiritual significance...
I will be in the middle of stress and look over and see that the time indicates a number that has a relationship with patience...other things... -

Re: synchronicities
Fri, January 18, 2008 - 10:50 PMtoday in the early evening while reading, in a coffeehouse, the current issue of Fortean Times, a magazine which regularly deals with anomalous and paranormal phenomena...i overheard a conversation between 2 women about an acquaintance of one of them who's had experiences that she considers evidence of hauntings and poltergeist activity!
as if to underscore the significance of that first event, later on i went into a bookstore and broused through a cartoon book titled The Big Book of The Unexplained. it includes a section on synchronicities, and when i came to that, i found within it the VERY SAME torn section of a rejected photograph i'd taken and used *months* ago as a bookmark while reading that book the first time. -

Sat, January 19, 2008 - 9:46 PMjust before going to bed last night, i posted a link on one of these tribes to a video of The Porpoise Song written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King, performed by the Monkees...then this morning as i entered a restaurant in my neighborhood for breakfast, i could here from the radio: I'm A Believer, another song made famous by the Monkees! -

Re: synchronicities
Sun, March 30, 2008 - 11:00 PMthe stuff with the numbers is a pretty regular thing....
I seem to get some karmic connection things....like I will send a friend some old tools lying around or whatever...then the next week I will be talking with some neighbor and they will offer that I can borrow some tools if I want. That kind of thing happens all the time. -

and said that they will stone the truth
I thought that was very conferming -

Re: synchronicities
Mon, March 31, 2008 - 5:24 PMIve awakened to the Mirror effect. The way people are behaving around me are just like the other people I talk to later...
Lately ive been in the *zero* zone, staying nuetral, to see whats going on in the picture around me.
I noticed when someone starts to feel unstable with anything, emotions, mental...etc..
that is passes on and so swiftly...
the brother was upset, and the next day it was both the brother and mom, then the next day three people were involved in somewhat the same problem but manifested to things to reach out to grab more people. and now half the family is involved and some people from work are going the same thing.
So i notice the energy, even when peopel drive. today still the family decides to feel bad. when I see no apparent reason. And sure enough everyone is in a hurry, the cars today where speeding ahead and across from me which I haven encountered in forever, and not just one car... but three. And all of them small cars. Boxes keep falling out the back of trucks this whole week.
Then I notice that there are two synchonocities, the standard society one, and a energy one.
We can call a society synchronocity to important, because its logical fact. That around noon, people wearing suits will be eating at subway and stoping by starbucks. That cant totally count, cause its obvious, they work. Its obvbious to be working people at the same time in all places.
But to see them buy the same things in the same aisle, thats something to consider.
Today four men in two minutes walked down the same aisle I was standing in. I just stood, I was waiting for someone, and then two of the guys grabed cleaning products, and left. Then I was alone. It took two minutes.
I wondered... why? Time must be moving faster

Re: synchronicities
Mon, March 31, 2008 - 5:54 PMSo, do you guys do any research on your synchronistic events, do they have any deeper messages that you have been able to discern?? I realize that some reoccurring themes are just . . . reoccurring themes or coincidence. I start paying attention when something manifests 3 or more times, and seems to have an archetypal aspect or personal connection . . . I also like to do image research, so for example, the photos on my profile of "Sirens" are from such an image search . . . I had a real powerful dream about a blue faced women/twin that was named a "Siren" in the dream, I really didn't even know what a "Siren" was . . . then within the next month I saw advertisements, clothing shops, artwork etc. that were named "Siren" . . . then I did an image search of "Sirens" and "Blue face or blue faced women", and looked up some info on "Sirens" . . . I did actually learn some things about myself, so it might have been a message . . . I can't sing so I won't be luring any sailors to there death.
My name is Bonnie by the way . . . thank you for the invitation! -

Tue, April 29, 2008 - 12:09 PMHi Bonnie! You're here too? Oh no, now sweet and nice Bonnie has become a stalker, LOL!
Good to see ya here...
++++++++
just had an interesting one..
was thinking of someone I knew from over 20 years ago, last name Feist. Hadn't thought of her in maybe 15 years.
Then, turned on the TV, watching the Colbert Report...and there was a musician on named Leslie Feist. Never heard of the name before, but I had her heard one of her tunes before. And was nice how that all connected so well.
hope everyone is doing well
take care all

Thu, May 1, 2008 - 2:43 PMJon, if I was stalking you, you'd know it . . . it is just that you turn me on to all your cool friends, like Holden and Ameed (mostly through your tireless efforts to Find Chris), and somehow they take pity on me . . . not sure about the sweet and nice part . . . there are some things you don't know about me . . . lol
Synchronicity
I have gone through a some major connections lately . . . really obscure stuff coming up repetitively . . . I am working with identify the moment just before a Synchronistic event to see what might trigger this recognition . . .
