Re: Teachers Training weekend workshop
Fri, February 15, 2008 - 3:41 PMI am going to be at the Belly Dance conference in Toronto and I intend to take both workshops with one of your "offspring"!
BTW, I found lyrics for the song GItanes on Youtube if you don't already have them:
Lyrics:
He recorrido el camino del mundo
cerrando los ojos, he visto y he tocado
y era tocada: movida...

English translation (from user lecheamarga):
I have walked the worlds path,
that from the mud, to the gold, it goes
from one sea to another, that unites the entire earth.
I have watched the tide rise, I´ve seen it go down again;
I´ve learned the lesson from the breath.
I´ve known that the backside and the straight side are the same, and so lessons of love and truth.
About the world I have closed my eyes, and I´ve seen the world: root, branch and core.
The invisible, in the heart of the visible, that acts.
Closing my eyes, I´ve seen and I have touched and she was touched: moved. -

Re: Teachers Training weekend workshop
Sun, February 17, 2008 - 7:01 PMThank you so much for the lyrics. I absolutely love that song and want to eventually put together some sort of dance or show called "Citizen of the World", incorporating my experiences traveling the world. These lyris say it all.

Tue, February 19, 2008 - 7:57 AMMe too, as soon as I saw the clip of your workshop improvising to this song I fell in love with the music. (I seem to like a lot of the music you find and use for performance). I also like the other clip of you dancing to Gitanes at Barraca.
Can't wait till you return in September!
