Just a reminder to those of you who are WADA members that it is the AGM this coming Saturday. Time 2pm at the Scout Hut, St Marks Avenue, Salisbury. We are also presenting Algerian Mountain Dance Workshop from 3-5pm.
The workshop is one of the famous Algerian dancer Amel Tafsout's authentic folk dances. It will be taught by the very talented Liz Newman who is coming from Cornwall to take the group.
The cost of this workshop is £12 payable to WADA and members can pay that on the day, £15 non WADA members.
WADA members may renew at the AGM or workshop
The moves in this workshop will be new to a lot of people so this is pitched at general level so everyone can join in. We will learn typical Algerian movements and then the fun begins as we work in shifting rows! You'll see!
This will be great fun. If you have one, bring a veil because you will wear it as a toga! If you haven't got one, we will lend you one
To book, please email nicolascammell@aol.com or ring 01722 334895 weekends or evenings
As an added extra Liz is going to teach the Gum Boot Dance done by South African miners and you may wish to bring a pair of sturdy shoes or wellies.
Hope to see some of you there!
Best regards
Andrea
