I have a new feature on my website on the gallery page. Scroll down underneath the Tarot card links and you will see the "Tarot card of the month". Last month it was the April Fool, and guess which card that was?! This month it is The May Queen. I also include a unique interpretation with each card each month.
Last month's Fool I extrapolated on how the Fool plays the part of the "Holy Fool" for the court, and the King and Queen. This is a character i have always found intriguing. Yes, even the Queens had fools - sometimes they were even female. The Fool, being seen as touched by God and thus a bit out of their senses, but at the same time having most sense than most and always speaking the truth, they could get away with the most ascerbic and many times lewd comments about higher court officials that most people would be executed for. Of course sometimes even a Fool could be foolish and go too far. It's all about playing your trump card wisely!
