I was wondering, when is it too much too soon for ink? since I was little I always knew I was going to have a lot of tatts, and I alwyas have ideas in my head. recenly I've been going through a lot of shit, and there is a design I really want to get, it's more like I need to get in order to get through this point in my life. the only thing is, I just got a new tatt about three months ago. I know that is a short time, but it's like I need this tattoo. advice anyone?

Re: when is it too much?
Tue, February 26, 2008 - 8:16 PMMy first four tattoos were done at every two week paycheck back to back. If all goes well I will have three weeks between my current two. I agree do as much work as you can afford! -

Fri, March 21, 2008 - 3:49 PMToo much? Never enough!
Forget too soon; technically, it's not soon at all, when you figure you've been planning your tattoos since you were a kid. Right? So three months apart or not, your tattoos have actually taken decades. (How's that for logic?)

Re: when is it too much?
Sun, March 30, 2008 - 7:40 AMi started when i was 28 and 109 hours later i regret getting only two of them. i have about 10 hours left and im done, forever. plan ahead, and dont rush into it. find a artist that you like that's not gonna leave you broke and take care of of your ink. the first 3 weeks are crucail that you do it right so it will heal properly and look good. lube em often, at least every time after you shower, they will stay ripe much longer.

Re: when is it too much?
Sat, April 12, 2008 - 1:04 AMIt depends. Is this tattoo in the same area? If not, you absolutely can. If you can take it, you can take it. Everyone is different. So some people may wait until the latest tat is completely healed. Its really a good idea to do it that way because then you will have less for your body to try and heal all at once. It can take a toll on some bodies. But my sister never waits for her tats to finish. She has two full arm sleeves. And she just keeps going back, appointment after appointment. She heals great. I guess its all a metabolism thing. Me personally, I wait to heal to prevent my body from having to work so hard on killing infections. All up to you woman! :) -

Re: when is it too much?
Thu, May 15, 2008 - 7:42 AMI don't think 3 months is too soon, but if you've only been thinking about this current design for that long I would want to wait it out a bit longer.
But, I'm one of those people that only want tattoos in specific spots, so when those spots are taken I'm done and better be happy with what I've got. So I'm extra nit-picky. Plus I know how my own ideas have changed regarding blank patches of skin, a few ideas I've had in the past I am so glad I didn't run out and get, because I have much cooler ideas now and am glad that the canvas is blank for them ;) Doesn't sound like this is so much of an issue for you as you've always wanted many tattoos, but I know if it was me I'd appreciate having some temperance thrown my way to help me decide if its what I want in the long run.
If you've been chewing on it a while, it resonates with you, and you've got the time, money, and blank skin, go for it!
