phone numbers...

Do you put your private/home/cell number on your business cards and website?

I'm making a big batch of business cards and can't decide....rent a voice mail box just for hooping? or keep it simple (but possibly more complicated!)

Have you had any problems putting your personal number on business-related stuff?

    Hi Sadie,

A lot of cell phone companies have deals where you can add a line and a phone for only about $10 more per month. I have a seperate cell number for my hoop business, which has been working really well. However, I put both the business number and my cell number on the business cards. Haven't had a problem so far :)

Until recently, I used my cell phone for all HoopShine related business. It always worked for me just fine.

I think it depends on how much energy you have invested in a web presence. Meaning, prospective students can find so much of what they need on my website, that I very rarely got phone calls. If, however, you aren't yet to the point where your website addresses common inquiries... then you might consider a separate line.

Things my website offers that minimizes lots of call backs: class schedule, class descriptions, online registration, testimonials, links to class location, etc.

And, of course, my web address is the most visible font on my biz card.
    :-)

I don't put it on my website, but I do on my business cards. I guess I prefer email from the general internet public, and I wouldn't mind (and actually prefer!) a phone call from someone I've met.

I agree with the above posters. Although I've been handing out business cards for only about 6 months now, I have always put my cell phone number, which is my only phone line, and I haven't had any problems yet.

I totally agree with Candice too, I always make the website font bigger and bolder :-)
