Do you have a website for your classes? Let's share. I am making my site now and I find everyone else's so inspiring. Plus, I'd like to have these resources for networking. They're also a great resource for students all over the country. So if you have a site, let's network here.

Here are some of the hooping sites I really like:

www.pyrokinetika.com (Great site Natasha! I hadn't seen it before today but it made me want to start this thread!)
www.spiralhoopdance.com
www.mandalahoops.com
www.hulahooper.com
hoopnotica.com

That's a beautiful picture, Ammre.. not sure what other content you're planning to add, I thought that was a pretty good basic coverage of everything.. except maybe the city that your classes take place in? ;)

They are intramural classes. Unless you go to my school you can't even get into the building they are held in. I didn't think location mattered much then.

Fair enough... it might just help educate the people that will stumble across your site when searching for "hoop classes" that you may or may not be in their area and offering a program that is accessible. If you're open to other offers of hooping work or promotion coming your way, it can help.. I get a lot of queries and interviews because people search for "hooping" and "vancouver" or "canada" and find me.. free publicity, woo! :)

          Good luck with your classes!

          X.

I love everyones fun hoop names for their websites. Hooporama is really cracking me up. Someone needs to get hooploaf

I am a fire performer and bellydancer. I work at the Seattle Circus Arts School teaching kids classes. I throw some hoop action into their class. We do some fun stuff that would probably be unusal for most hoop classes like walk a tighwire and spin or bounce down the tumble track on our backs while pulling a hoop over our bodies. The really little kids get the plastic juggeling rings but they LOVE to spin those on there arms and legs. We tumble through the hoops doing forward rolls and stuff.

I do some fire hoop. I have been thinking about going to the hoopgirl teacher training class in Portland this September....Oh, I'm getting away from what we're talking about which is WEBSITES:

I just wanna make a small critique to these websites (I hope it doesn't seem rude)
I don't really know if the website hosters are even looking at this thread anymore, but most of the time if I take a really long time, I can find what state or country these websites hail from, but sometimes the address pages say things like "the corner of main and 9th" or something and never put the state or city. OR if the city is in there then there are multiple cities across the country with that name. So I gues for the sake of business it might be a good idea to post your location more exactly. Once again, not trying to be rude just helpful. :-D Happy hooping
