LOVED LOVED LOVED the show last night. I am now hooked and taking an application for 'my favorite band I would travel for while cheese is not playing" :)
Any band that can cover THE BAND and cover it well, any band who also plays my favorite GD song, plus one of my favorite Paul Simon songs PLUS have some fabulous original material is TOPS with me! And wasn't there a Talking heads cover? My my, the music just kept pouring out just when I thought that was enough for the first impression, they came back with something bigger and better :)
And you couldn't even tell there were only 10 paying guests in the room!
Please please please come back to OC or LA or at least keep playing in SD and I won't mind the drive at all.

My first TIDE experience was a String Cheese after party at Blakes in Berkeley back in 2002 - it was the perfect comedown after wild night of Bay Area cheese - its been an adventure ever since then

Tue, February 24, 2009 - 1:44 PMWow chris, you are sooooo old school first fan style!!! Rad.....that reminds me of how I discovered Blue Turtle after moe. played the Truckee ampitheater in Aug 2003, and we strolled across the street to the Blue Coyote for a BTS late nite.
Late nites are so good for that !!
I didnt get Tide'd until High Sierra 2005.....Elko parade was my frist real true intro....on the way to the RRE late nite in that golf cart. Kinda cool that my first 1000% attention was an acoustic jam. I did remember the stage show but I was all foggy. The next time I saw them was that summer at Coopers, during the big heat wave, where it was just the Mohlers and I, it was so hot nobody even went to town. Crazy!
However last years 728 Party solidified everything, all the love. :) GO TIDE!!! -

Tue, February 24, 2009 - 3:08 PMYeah it was funny we went to the show in Humboldt and the manager guy was all excited to see them, and was excited to see the bus. So it was a sad moment telling him there is no more bus. He was like "What? I remember seeing the bus at high sierra"

These guys are awesome, they have great people around them too! I'm hooked! looking forward to St. Patty's Day and whatever else they bring this summer... and Turtle too, one Sat. a few years ago at the Women's Club in Chico, this little band played and left a huge impression! LOVE ALL YOU GUYS! -
