A Tribe for Residents, Students, and Alumni of the Tent University Movement. Started in 2003 by Students at Rutgers University in New Jersey as a protest against funding cuts in Higher Education, the Tent University Movement has since grown into a National Coalition that involves over a Dozen Schools.

Tent State University is a National Movement for the Right to an Education that is opposed to tuition, privatization of public education, and other forms of discrimination in education. Many TSUs also oppose war, corporate welfare, and other unjust spending priorities.
