OED: To remove (dregs or fæces) by a purifying process; to purge away; to void as excrement.
WEBSTER: Teribus is the left side of an uncooked tortilla chip.
HERITAGE: Teribus is the forceful extraction of pine cones from any orifice by water.
WIKIPEDIA: Teribus (The Aye-Aye / 337°) was the 13th sign of the zodiak. Once the month of Octember was done away with, Teribus skidded into the list of ephemeral whatnots.
I would provide a more accurate definition if it were available. It seems there are some slight variances. I will make a call to Wikipedia today and see if the admin will send me a login and password to correct the spelling of "Zodiac."

Re: Definition of "Teribus"

Teribus was the keeper of Hell's Gatekeeper's Slippers. -

Re: Definition of "Teribus"
Tue, February 19, 2008 - 5:39 PMCerebus is a company in downtown Canada that drives around drunken revelers on pub crawls.
Cheese Slippers can be formed by adding two cups of swiss cheese and one egg into slightly over sized boots, leaving them in direct sunlight for approximately 2.5 hours, then cutting away the boot, revealing amazing cheese slippers!

Re: Definition of "Teribus"
Wed, February 20, 2008 - 8:38 AMThis is, by far, one of the best threads of ideas and jackassery I have read in ages!
It's good to meet you folks here!
Thank you, Teribus! May I have another?
By the way, (and thanks, Nevik, for the slipper construction instruction) I think I'm gonna have to wax or laquer my stompers...they're starting to get really ripe...although Cerberus (yeah, I misspelled it earlier) may like 'em best that way, he LUVS hiz-self sum cheese. -

Re: Definition of "Teribus"
Wed, February 20, 2008 - 9:31 AMthese slippers are of finest swiss construction,
not to be confused with the inferior 'head cheese' design that some individuals are hawking... -
-
Re: Definition of "Teribus"
Wed, February 20, 2008 - 9:38 AMif in fleeing an angry mob, you loose one of those trotters...
it will cause the mob to take notice, exclaiming: "whats that in the road, a head?"
...and you will not be able to give them the slip... : ) -
-
Re: Definition of "Teribus"
Thu, February 21, 2008 - 10:55 AMswiss ( a high quality holy cheese )...
head cheese ( good hogs head renderings…mmMMmm )...
hawking (as in ham-hawks ) another fine swine product…
trotters ( pig’s knuckles ) sometimes referred to as a knuckle sandwich ( but not in mixed company )…these are all ham-parts ( not to be confused with ram-parts … they glow red when angered )
‘what’s that in the road ahead?’ ( an exclamation of surprise ) ex-clam=no clam involvement…
‘what’s that in the road? A Head!’ ( more of an exclamation of surprise… and a prise! )
‘a head’ (as in hogs head…) usually seen in pairs of two when worn as low class foot wear…
‘slip’ (as in comfy comfy fashionable footie wear..) AKA ‘slippers’ see guacamole
…so…
give… slip, get… head, its all good… : ) -

Re: Definition of "Teribus"
Thu, February 21, 2008 - 11:12 AMi like guacamole so much I bet I'd eat it out of someone's slipper. Seriously. I nearly lived on the stuff when I was in Mexico. Everything was good, but it was sooo hot outside, the guacamole tasted the best. cool yummy goodness.....out of a shoe even... -
-
Re: Definition of "Teribus"
Thu, February 21, 2008 - 12:12 PMCan you ride that "Terrorbus" across the country on tour? Will Homeland Security be investigating the proliferation of Terrorbus on this nation?
Now Terrorbush could be a reference to a "soon to be ex-president" or maybe a really nasty lady (oops.... sorry about that one).
I certainly hope that no journalist misspells it as Teribul, cause we all know that wouldn't fit the definition (Well, maybe the hats, but that's it, just the hats).
Guacamole rots the mind. I am on a personal campaign to have a nationwide prohibition on guacamole. Then you must resort to eating stinky cheese out of a slipper on tortilla chips. It's called a "Teribus Dip". Many may think that the Teribus Dip refers to a member of the band, but they would be wrong, it is exactly as described above.............. look it up. -

Re: Definition of "Teribus"
Thu, February 21, 2008 - 2:17 PMhmm... just do it...
i see... they mean 'just taste this guacamole its good! (i have a full other shoe anyway...)'
and that's when the other shoe drops... -
