The Big World Gathering - Take Your Power Back

THE BIG WORLD GATHERING
http://www.worldgathering.net

What is The Big World Gathering?
The Big World Gathering is happening now wherever you are by you sharing with others what you really feel and think about life today, and by distributing information you believe is important. At a later stage, perhaps soon to happen, all our individual actions may help lead to something quite surprising; a major world change.

"Awake, awake, the world is young,
For all its weary years of thought.
The starkest fights must still be fought,
The most surprising songs be sung."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'THE GATHERING' by Sitting Bull
It is very important that as many people as possible, in different places, should take part in the Gathering. Decide where and when and how to gather. Your participation is needed.
This is the beginning of the break we are all waiting for; for you all on Earth and ourselves out here. This is the beginning of the turn around. We have waited so long for the change. It is time. This is the beginning of the end of the old ways; the turning of the tide.
State what you believe is true. Courage is the ability to go beyond the familiar. Exchange the information and hopes you have. Always in the world, a change starts with a few people. These few speak the feelings and thoughts of a multitude. They speak the heart of humanity's soul.
The people and ETs who will come together shall ring in a return, a turn around. There will come a flow on Earth which will burst the dark energies surrounding you and your planet. That which you believe is true must be stated. The truth is the key.
May strength and vision be yours as you establish the new. Follow your hearts. Let your inner light be your guide. Realise the beauty and greatness you have within yourself and step ahead. This is the time so many have waited so long for. Never doubt it has started.
The young of all nations are looking for a new direction. It is time to light a beacon to show the way for all humanity. Let your feelings, thoughts and beliefs be your guiding light. The power of the moment. The wishes of the people. The good times ahead.
It is time for the gathering.
Tatanka Yotanka - The Sitting Bull
(This message is through a clairvoyant in Holland, Europe, in recent years)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Special Words for The Big World Gathering:
~ The Rainbow Dream Vision of Hope: "This prophecy is a dream and vision that is a potential reality for mankind. It is not an ultimatum. But it is ours to behold and to create if we only dare to create it together." ~
~ A Central American Mayan Elder: "Human beings must come together in support of life. At present, each person and group is going his or her own way. There is hope if people can come together and unite." ~
~ E F Schumacher: "We must do what we conceive to be the right thing and not bother our heads or burden our souls with whether we will be successful. Because if we don't do the right thing, we will be doing the wrong thing and we will just be a part of the disease and not a part of the cure." ~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'The Gathering' by Matthew
Last night I had a gathering for all my departed friends
I asked Jim Morrison where he'd been
He just laughed and smiled,
Spoke of what he'd seen
He said "I've been to the end of the rainbow"
He said "I've seen supernovae burst"
But before I could ask a question,
He said "Let me finish first"
He said "I have something to tell you",
This really is the MASTER KEY
ONLY! ONLY LOVE!
Will set this planet free
He then spoke ok Atlantis,
And what has come to pass
In an alien war of genocide,
He and his friends escaped the blast
* * *
Now these ones are returning,
They see our hearts are burning
The Universe is yearning,
For us to break on through
Well now you see here is my request,
The letter to your heart
Will you join us now,
Let the healing start
First there came THE question,
Then I found THE door
Now I have come through it,
A stronger man for sure
I will ask you the same question,
I can lead you to this door
If you will walk through it,
You will be Wiser than before
Yes now I have this question to put to you
Are you going to resist,
Will you break on through?
Will you break on through?
I am waiting for you...
New visa regs in Thailand
Blah... after reading and researching for hours on pertinent up-to-date information what I could deduce, is that for members of the 41 richer countries (which I assume the majority of the Thaicaravan readers to be from. There will be a 30 day 'free' 'Visa on Arrival' stamp given each time entering the country, up to 3 times. At that point the person will have to leave and purchase a 60 day tourist visa at a Thai consulate in a neighboring country or their home country. This visa can also be extended for 30 days.
The 'Visa on Arrival' stamp will be not be issued until 90 days have passed from last issue...
Do to political murkiness, these rules may be subject to change in the near future (political elections).
The regional deputy officials will be given more power for discrepancy.
The political scapegoating crackdown on longterm 'visa on arrival' may have already begun.
Perhaps having ones visa arranged before leaving home would be wise. I hear 80$ in Canada...
L
"Marcus L. Endicott" <mendicot@yahoo. com> wrote: http://www.bangkokp ost.com/News/ 10Sep2006_ news04.php
General news >> Sunday September 10, 2006
Visa rules will be tightened to stop abuse
Maximum stay of 90 days for foreigners
By Chatrudee Theparat
Visa-on-arrival (VOA) regulations will be tightened for nationals of
41 countries to prevent abuse of the privilege and curb the rising
number of illegal entries, according to the Immigration Police
Bureau (IPB). Foreign nationals from those countries, including the
US, China and India, will be able to stay longer but with fewer
chances of renewing the VOA.
IPB commissioner Suwat Tumrongsiskul said nationals from those
specific countries are currently allowed to remain in Thailand for
15 days maximum after the VOA is granted. The VOA is normally
renewable once.
However, some foreigners including tourists ''tiptoe around the
law'' by resorting to so-called visa runs to extend their stay. Most
take a bus to a border, check out of the country and then return the
same day to have the VOA renewed.
They repeat the practice as many times as they wish, affording them
almost unlimited stay in the country. The policy is largely intended
to serve tourism.
Pol Lt-Gen Suwat said the change of the VOA rules is in order.
In future, foreigners from those 41 countries will be able to stay
in the country for 30 days from the first VOA stamp, which will be
renewable twice at most, each time for a maximum of 30 days. In
other words, a foreigner will be permitted to remain in Thailand for
no longer than 90 days in total after three VOA stamps.
The commissioner said the current system is prone to abuse as many
foreign nationals make numerous visa runs so they can stay on long
term to do business. In some cases, they have gone unregulated,
causing social problems.
Official figures showed that about 400,000 Chinese nationals were
granted a VOA last year, and 18,000 of them have stayed behind.
Around 200,000 Indians made VOA visits last year and it was found
that 16,000 of them have not left.
Pol Lt-Gen Suwat said the new VOA rules will be put into effect once
approved by the Royal Thai Police Office.
He said more information technology will be employed in the
blacklisting system. The IT-operated immigration clearance system is
now in use at 15 out of 55 checkpoints nationwide to check in
tourists and screen out undesirable individuals. The technology lets
the bureau enlarge its database of foreign visitors to identify
those on the blacklist and expel them.
Pol Col Ittipol Ittisarnronnachai, head of the Pattaya immigration
centre, said its IT-operated database is shared by many hotels and
resorts in Pattaya to help track down blacklisted people. The
technology has been credited with weakening the local mafia network.
The Betong immigration centre in Yala is also using the system to
trace people of dual nationality, some of whom are believed to be
behind the southern strife.
Pol Lt-Gen Suwat said more authority to issue visas will be
delegated to regional IPB offices.
At present, IPB chief inspectors are authorised to grant visas, and
in future their deputies will also be able to approve visa requests
Things are still proceeding with there being a couple hundred in attendance.
Some chaos, some climaxes, some bullshit, some enlightenment...
New people arriving all the time- well into Febuary.
I imagine things will get a little exclusive with Tony and friends... but better, more refined. Closer more intimacy, better communication. Things actually getting acomplished...
Hello Family
Love Light and Laughter too all
Eric Tumbling Fox Mandala here
I am arriving from japan in BKK jan 7th
To Family arriving:
If anyone wants to join me to journey down together
I have been to the site already this March 2006 when we were scouting
To those who are arriving late
Im sure that the gathering will last longer than planned
if we can remain in peace with the locals buy observing local traditions like not getting naked while swimming
although i am one who loves to swim naked
but the gathering continuing in peace is more important
To family already there:
I am looking forward to our reunion!
I miss you all!
To all:
This is a monumental moment
for the growth of the Asian Rainbow family
as the first world Rainbow gathering in Asia
My first Rainbow gathering was 16 years ago in Colorado
In Asia Ive been to many gatherings in India
And been to the oldest Rainbow gathering banyan tree in Arambol
in which the Asian Rainbow spirit was born
I am so excited to be witness to
the growth of this movement of world peace and healing
I love you all!
We are all one!
Seems since the site was moved to 'Tony's' land, the easist way in would be an approach from Ao Khouie 6 Kilometers south of Suksamran.
Proceed in and north towards the 'Rainbow restaurant', after that its a short (or long if you are carrying heavy bags) 10 minutes walk.
Easist done around the hours of low tide 11- 4 pm and daylight hours or if you have flashlights 12-3 in the morning...
Best to check the tidal charts in the area for closest acuracy as this will change with the moon.
See you there...
Dropped in for a quick peek- stop reading now for those who need to form their own impressions. ..
It would seem that Tony's property is fairly small- not that people couldn't expand into the forest, but...
Perhaps folks will inhabit the series of beaches around that site in order to optimize space...
Maybe food circle call will be a set relay from point to point, or by raft ferry...
I've included a few pics, water is good and in place... Maybe a bit murky after a hard rain- time then to catch it in buckets...
I really wonder how the nudity issues will work themselves out- the site is quite close (10 Minutes) to the local restaurant, and I have already observed Thai teens watching the beach from the rocks... 'Worlds collide'
Some advice for those who will heed it...
Be careful upon entering the brackish stream, from welcome home, crossing at high tide could be difficult for shorter people, also best to try and cross near the ocean- its sand there.
The barnacles on the rocks in the stream are razor sharp...
Ive marked the last road closest to Pra Phat beach with a rainbow coloured fabric... It will be 4- 5 kilometers to welcome home.
In order to avoid the difficult high tide trek - Near impossible with luggage/supplies, try taking the 'alternate' route- ala restaurant.
Gathering directions and location
Sawadee family!
Our prayers have been answered: this morning the 13 of us here at ao chaak
reached consensus on the final site. Now we are happy to announce it to all
of you patient sisters and brothers:
The site is near Ao chaak beach (which continues as the Welcome Center) in
central Thailand (mainland). Below we quote the directions to it again:
BANGKOK (Khao san road) to WELCOME CENTER (Ao chaak)
two options:
1) city bus nr 53 to train station, train to chumpon (buy ticket a day in
advance, morning train expensive (only ac), afternoon/night train ~300b for
2nd non-ac, sleeper extra), then bus to ranong (50-70b)
2) city bus nr 511 from main road near khao san to southern bus station.
from building 2 (in the very back) take a bus to ranong (10 hours), e.g.
7:10 am, 2nd class (there is no non-ac anymore it seems), 357 b (this one
continues to the turn to ao chaak, but would arrive there after dark, so
better spend the night here (e.g. at kiwi near bus stand) and continue like
below). (if you take the 4 am bus you could make it in one day)
both) then take a bus (or hitchhike from in front of the bus stand/filling
station) towards krabi/phuket (buy a ticket until "kam phuuan"), but get off
at the sign to "praphat beach" which is about 1 km after kam phuuan market (
1-1.5 hours, 90 km). from here hitchhike (or walk) towards praphat beach,
but ask to be dropped at the turn to "ao chaak" (2km). follow this dirt road
to the beach beyond the hill (500m, steep) and then the signs (~2km from
here). WELCOME HOME!
Phuket to WELCOME CENTER (ao chaak)
Take a bus to Kam Phuuan, but get off at "Praphat beach" sign, 1 km BEFORE
Kam Phuuan (5 hours). rest like above.
In the Welcome Center you find information on how to find the actual site
which is another 20min away.
REFER TO THE FILES SECTION FOR THE AO CHAAK AREA MAP. We'll put a
beautifully painted invitation sheet (to be printed, copied and distributed
from hand to hand) there as soon as it's ready. this email is just to inform
you quickly and instantly.
=> We respectfully suggest that:
- The Gathering will be drug and alcohol free
- We bring in no weapons or plastic
- Dogs are strongly discouraged, so if brought, keep them under close
control and bury their droppings
- There will be no buying or selling
- Gatherers use the recycling center to be set up on the site. Whatever
we pack-in we pack-out !
- We tread lighty on the land and return it as we found it when we leave
- We try only to have fires in the kitchen, bakery, communal spaces and the
large central sacred fire
- Our Gatherings are non-electrical. All the energy needed is human energy -
self generated
- Thus we live in peaceful respect for Each Other, the Earth, the Water, the
Trees, Plants and the Animals
- Our Gathering is not a "free" Festival. Money is collected by the Magic
Hat after meals in order to buy food and supplies
YOU ARE JOYFULLY INVITED TO JOIN IN AND GET INVOLVED.
I've never been to an international gathering... How important is the full moon/culmination? Does everyone leave afterwards, as they do on the 5th & 6th for the North American? Or will your exprience be almost as full if you arrive after the full moon (the third, in this case)?
So we had an informal meeting, yesterday at the fort, nice while the theatre groups played...
There will be another scout group meeting on Ao Chaak Nov 15 morning...
Still not sure whether the gathering can be in such a place... it seems like it hasnt taken long for our Falang barbarian ways to offend the locals...
"Hey can 2000 of my friends come to your place and build and destroy so many things- we guaruntee, you'll never see life the same after..."
i know it is quite a silly question, but i wonder how come so many can stay in thailand for so long and travel everywhere?!
Is it true that gypsy lifestyle is still alive? I am really thinking a lot about what I am and what I should do in this life and I really do not want to have a regular 8-5 job, but I don't know if i can ever make it, can I meet a lot of similar minded ppl there and possibly find some guidence?
I have very high hopesfor the gathering, but i am a little scared of what happen next..
Hello family,
Im new to this tribe, so bare with me untill i find my way around it!
im curious which province the thai rainbow is going to be in. I'm planning my adventure around thailand, and it would be useful to know roughly where to aim for.
I was lucky in the summer, rainbow came to me! the European rainbow came to my home town - SKIPTON! and i couldnt get enough of it. So i intend to go to the next one.
regards.
Seed camp october 22
So is it OK to call the seed camp on October 22nd at Ao-chark,
Mr,Nai's rubber plantation hut?
People can able to camp from before the seed camp,but better to ask to
Mr.Nai.If it is I will be in BKK 20th Oct and do some work (ex to go
to organic market or shoping material) and come to the siete little
bit late.
Or still we can meet at Ayuttaya buffalo camp wich we had the first
scout camp or BKK Kaosan road?
Another idea that My family have a town house in Nontabri but no
residents now.It is 30Km north of BKK cost 40baht for micro bus but
you can stay for free.
And we can rent a house in Kanpuan town for preparation of gathering.
We do not need to stay in the camp all the time,and sometime it is
more easy to do the work wich necessary to use internet or mobile
phone.
I think Ao-chark beach is the area under the crowd on this map.
http://maps.google.com/?
ie=UTF8&t=k&om=1&z=13&ll=9.351005,98.391495&spn=0.084351,0.1157
But sorry about if it is mistake ,it is not easy to find exact place
on the map.
I am planing to bring a MTB from Japan but still it is hard work.
but we may need some moter behicle.
Do any body have idea about it?
THIS IS A REMINDER :
Please come to the site at Ao Chaak
We think it is a good place,
there is room for a big circle, water sources, river and waterfall, wild
vegetable and cashew nuts and fruits, passion fruits, monkeys, dolphins, white
headded eagles, many colored fish, turtles and more to discover..
Check out the pictures brother Eric has put in the photos or files
Here are the directions once again to Hat Ao Chaak :
take a night bus from Bangkok to Suksamran (it costs 395 bht) at 19:30.
You arrive next morning around 6:00, at Suksamran Tharaat (market place).
Watch the sunrise and grab some water and/ or food for the road
this is the last shopping and facility area..
We suggest you either take a motorbike taxi, if you can
or hitch hike down to Hat Prapat beach.
Say you have a friend you are going to visit.
From Hat Prapat beach it s simple..
When you watch the Andaman sea, and you re next to the public phone
turn back and walk back the direction you came from to take the medium dirt
road, up the hill on your right (on your left when you watch the sea). Follow
the dirt road, it curves down to Hat Ao Chaak... Welcome by the beautiful tree
on a tree on a tree...After gazing up, watch the dolfins, we saw them early in
the morning too. Now walk, its about 3 km, all the way to be close to the end of
the beach. You should see a small red flag.. and a salty river parallel to the
sea.. Before 9 in the morning, and after 3 in the afternoon, its okay to cross
the river and get to the rubber plantation on the other side. The Noi family hut
we stay in is inside the plantation, all rainbow materials are there at the
moment.
Check out the map for the visual directions, under thaicaravan folder in the
yahoogroups (you just need to sign in).
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/thaicaravan/
Welcome welcome home
greetings to you brother,
I m glad that someone reacts to the message. I was in thailand for only two
months. Coming on the mekong from china, to chiang mai, pai also, and all the
way down to the ao chaak. I stayed there for two full moons, with my boyfriend
at that time.
To go there, the easiest way is to go by the southern bus terminal in bangkok.
with a bus, at maybe five or seven in the afternoon.. you need to check.. its
the bus going to Krabi, but you get of at SUKSAMRAN, at sunrise next day. From
there, you ask hat Ao chaak.. or Hat Prapat is better actually. You can hitch
hike for sure. From Hat Prapat, you walk to the next beach on the left when you
face the sea.. either by going over the rocks or by taking the dirt road.that s
hat ao chaak.. and then walk to the far end of the beach.. it takes quite some
time.. until the end. What you see is also a rainbow flag.. normally. and on the
other side of the salty river is the Rubber plantation of NOy, our brother and
friend. Him and Frida will always help and invite you. They go to the plantation
everyday unless its full raining.
Look if you are really serious about going down there, its better if you check
out the old posts, in the yahoo group of the thai caravan. There is much more
detailed information about how to get + what has been done down there
I have never been to the islands, because we consecrated our time in living on
the site, to keep up the work of the past scouts * * * I think the rainbow
material is down there *** too .. had very little money..
It s also that some of the islands... most of the islands actually. attract
too many tourists !!!! and are already business sites, even for some of us
'rainbows' I can already see. If you go to Ao chaak, maybe you can get a ride
on a fisher boat to one of these very close islands on the andaman sea.. but
even there, I guess there is no food supply or water source available, because
no one is living on them.. ** actually this is just a guess.. so you can check
out the reality...
Something to take care of.. is that this region of Suksamran, is mix with
Malay people *** take care of respect, I think nudity not too welcome for
muslims ** of course once you re inside of the jungle, at the sweet water
source, its another story.. ** I made a map of how to get to water source.. this
map is in the little hut in the plantation, with all rest of rainbow
material.*****the water is delicious
love and light
asuka
Sawadee! I'd like to give some Visa info & respond to some of the
recent posts of this group....First, there is no need to pay $40 for a 60-
day Visa before coming to Thailand...The small town of Ranong, which
is close to several already scouted sites, is a cheap & easy place to
renew one's Visa....The small 'downtown' has several cheap hotels for
immigration...the pier's are nearby where boats will take you across the
channel roundtrip to Myanmar for 150-200 baht(Myanmar charges $5 &
gives 3 days on their Visa if you want to stay overnight)...then be sure
to go back to the Thai immigration to get your new 30-day
stamp.....There is a good Fruit market downtown & I noticed in a shop
nearby huge bags of rice incredibly cheap...also Ranong has a free
public hotspring near the town(a few of the Thai men had their shirts
off but the women had t-shirts & shorts on)..
I agree that a 2-month 'seed camp' is a bit long but Marcus E. in
your 'humble' opinion are you suggesting we ignore the consensus of
the last World Gathering in Turkey?...plus, there have been several
people who have posted on this group that they will be arriving in
November & want to help with seed camp....as to the 'fear factor' of the
authorities busting us(like Russia) I don't feel that at all...the lower 3
provinces(on the Gulf near Malaysia) is where daily/weekly bombings by
Muslim separatists has the full attention of the Government....in Ranong
the Police are only interested in catching Myanmar/Burmese 'illegal's'(I
walked past a police roadblock near the pier & the police didn't even
stop me)...I doubt there are even Police anywhere nearby the remote
sites already scouted.....and no, there is no one in Thailand at the
moment except 56 million Thai's & a million farong's(foreigner's) like
myself!...SMILE....korp kun krap, jFree
Seems like we could save our selves 80 dollars by not buying the 2 month visa and just heading to the border...
Last time I was there years ago the border was closed...But Malaysia is also closer than Cambodia or Laos...
