Takes responsibility for actions and choises
asks openly for what they want
dissapionted if "want" is denied
Self-confident - allways
not reliant of the approval of others
energetic and self-reliant
good starters (the people being led can finish it)
good mood and humor. easy to get along with
lays guidelins and rules. followers know of these guidelines and rules. they overstep=aries angry, they follow the guidelines=aries happy
dynamic personality - can therefor be persuasive -

Tue, August 28, 2007 - 8:23 AMPersonally, I never care to lead or manage anyone. I'm more of either a follower or a person who likes to work with a partner, and if I can't get it done with that person, I'll go it alone.
If I do end up being a leader, it's because others choose me to be. -

for me... Aries = "my way or the highway." patriarchal in our approach to leadership. but... "my way" is not always the best way.
not badmouthing us, here... just being very aware of my own subtleties in action.
I have become a better leader as I have allowed my libra influences to see and hear what others can bring to the table. I am willing to admit when I am wrong. Allowing the spirit of cooperation to guide. Helping others to see their value and encouraging creativity... to me, is the sign of a great leader. -

Fri, September 14, 2007 - 12:11 AMAries are initiating energy. Aries are great leaders for starting things. However if the project is long term, once the initial goal is achieved, Aries tend to lose interest.
In any project, there are 3 times of energy required. Starting, sustaining and finishing. Depending on the project, length/complexity/interests, Aries may need to partner with other signs to complete the task.
Aries are great macro managers, see the big picture, but details can be a stumbling block. -

Mon, September 17, 2007 - 8:18 AMI just finished reading the final Harry Potter book a few days ago, yes damnit I said Harry Potter (one of the few series I actually have the attention span to read in a few sittings), and I read something Dumbledore said about leadership, and I thought it was really on point...
So to quote Dumbledore, "Perhaps those who are best suited to power are those who have never sought it. Those, who, like you, have leadership thrust upon them, and take up the mantle because they must, and find to their own surprise that they wear it well."

Aaw that is sweet...brotherly/sisterly connection...and I totally agree.
As far as Aries being such awesome leaders(leave it to an aries to use awesome as an adjective when describing their sign hehe) I know that all cardinal signs are supposed to be good/natural leaders.....
Aries coming from the place of fire(charging head first and sorting it out later?).....
Cancer from water(feeling things out, people/situations and acting accordingly?)
Libra from air(mediating, listening to both sides then acting?)
Capricorn from earth(keeping there head on there shoulders/getting a sense of how things are before proceeding?)
And there are advantages to all, like aries would be the best to charge head first since they know what it entails and are used to it and it would work better for them than others?
