Do Aries have analytical minds? if not, what kind of minds do we have?

We are supposed to be hot heads...that is not always bad but you will find that in every astro book.
However, Aries represents the head and the head houses the human brain. Though astro does not quote Aries as being smart, I have noticed that almost every Aries that I have met is quite intelligent. I sure have the grades to prove it and so do others.

Since Aries rules the head which contains the brain, what kind of brains do we have?

I tend to have an analytical mind. Is that true of other Aries?

  • I think we are very intelligent. When I was in the 3rd Grade I was tested to be 3 grade levels ahead of my class.
... Sadly the only reason I was tested was because of my temper during that age.. (Aries Sun/Moon.)
All through highschool I took honors and A.P. classes and I'm in a Honors Program in college. Then again I have a Mercury in Taurus as well.

It's probably just a mixture of your whole chart. I think Aries are intense so I think it would be more intuitive intelligence than anything else. However, Aries will put a lot of work into what we want to do. Our competitve nature makes us strive to be number 1 or sometimes even share number 1 in a draw. 50% of looking smart is getting the job done, 40% =getting it done in a manner that looks better than everyone elses, and 10% the actual answer.

Aries have the drive and leadership ability to make the mediocre seem amazing--- of course no one here is mediocre! :-)
    • That's tellin it as it is Somethin'like.

I also aced all the test and was even top student in amy school for a while.

It is funny that we do not get ercognised as intelligent as we really are.

There is something else. Game playing and power games. Aries get really bore at this and do we see how it is being done, we sometimes do not want to get involved. We are not blind.

At least I do not. I find these dirty. Maybe I should but it is unattracvtive. poerhaps that is the fire element.
Fire is considered the most powerful cleansing element in magick.

So I guess that we do not make it to the top in power-riffed institution but that would really depends on the Aries concerned.

maybe there isan historical factor operating here but as the head sign, we should get better recognition for our intelligence.
      • Unsu...

Actually, Mercury in Taurus is considered to be a much slower, yet paitient learner, so while they take longer to learn things, usually once they learn it, they know it forever. Aries themselves are very intelligent and pick things up very quickly. Plus, they tend to be competitive.

I have to say, all of the Aries I know are highly intelligent, and they all end up at excellent schools, or even if they decide not to go to college, they end up somewhere utilizing their intelligence. Most I know (with the exception of myself) seem to excel especially at math and science.

Da Vinci was an Aries, and he was brilliant in so many different areas. My uncle is another brainiac, and another Aries I know...my mother's friend's daughter is an Aries, and this girl doesn't even have to study and she's the #3 kid in the COUNTRY for her scholastics and scores.

It's a shame that so many people really think underestimate and undermine this sign's intelligence. It pisses me off because there are so many talented and brilliant people from this sign, and we really don't get enough credit.
        • Yeah, I know the taurus mercs rep. If I didn't have any other signs to offset that, then yes, that might be true. That's why I said that its your whole chart together. I've always picked things up very quickly and never had a problem with things that didn't have real world applications. What I think my taurus mer does is help me to qualify answers. It makes me think about the way that I present that answer. While both signs can be very honest. There's the answer... and then there's the answer that people want. Understanding the difference between the two helps me out in the classroom environment. So basically, the extra taurus helps me slow down and process the presentation, but Aries helps me speed up the actual thinking process. Just my experience.
          • I'll have to agree that in general, Aries have an intelligent, analytical brain. (although at times, for me, emotion takes over analysis in certain situations) I too, was placed in gifted classes as a child. Grades sort of went south during my turbulent teenage years, though. I loved college as an adult, graduating with high honors. I'd be a professional lifelong student if I could. I really enjoy reading and learning. As a young child, I used to spend hours reading my grandmother's nursing school books and encyclopedia collection. Kind of nerdish, I know-LOL. While I kind of hate math, I enjoy solving a problem and usually won't give up until I do.
        • Mercury in Taurus isn't a "slower" learner.. nope. Briefly, Mercury has to do with communication, decision making etc, not intelligence.
          Look to Athena for wisdom's...
          • yes, Mercury VERY much rules intelligence...

Communication, intellect and awareness are all within Mercury's domain, as are logic and reasoning, our manner of thinking, and how we create and express our thought processes.

            • "yes, Mercury VERY much rules intelligence..."

no, not intelligence, but rather conversational intellect and a process of how i process yours. they are different, intelligence and intellect, work hand in hand, yes, yet very different. Mercury travels that process out in a way that you and I can gather that intelligence from the anothers intellect. This is one of the reasons why Mercury is so important in synastry/composite. It is not ,IMO a persons intelligence, but the means and way of how they communicate it outwards and how we or I receive and process it. Mercury is a messenger of many things, one being communication of intelligence. But not the intelligence.
Basically Mercury is not the whole "pi" of intelligence, but rather a piece of the pie.
Pallas Athena, the goddess of intelligence, the owl, would tell you where your core is. That is my theory.
              p.s.
IVilliage is great! I enjoy the site for diet tips, planning holidays/Birthdays, gathering new recipes, however I rarely if ever use the site for astrological insight, but thats just me.

          • Unsu...

Yeah, Taryn...Mercury does have to do with intelligence and way of thinking ,as well as how one communicates and how they learn. Mercury in Taurus generally means that the person is slower at learning, but they do retain what they learn once they learn it, and they also have an affinity for language. Because Taurus is associated with Venus, they generally tend to like poetry and flowery forms of writing.

Da Vinci was also an entrepreneur, i think u guys r missing the larger pic. here......

      • Eniad, I have to agree with you on the whole game playing/ power issue. I can't stand it when people are not straight forward and honest.*GRRRR* I will admit though that I will play right along with them in my own way if something important is involved. I play dumb to the whole issue until they hang themselves or I get enough evidence against them to make them look like an ass.

I've found that most Aries hate those types of people.
  • I have abseloutely no problem with people thinking Aries is less intelligent. It gives me the upper hand.

Anyways, up to about 8th grade, I did really well in school. However, beyond that, I really saw no meaning to learning all this "stuff" I'd never have use for, so my grades was medeocre. My iq was tested with this longass test that lasted six hours. 122 iq. I think the average is 90-100. But I live in europ. We dont have the chemicals in our drinking water www.youtube.com/watch
    • Why can't astrologers makes the connection between the head and the brains. I'm sure leonard de vinci did. he was the perfect Aries.

Yes, we get no recognition for our intelligence and are told that should check for scars on our heads.
Are we going to set these medieval astrology book right?

In a culture of often docile lambs, we are rams, telling it as it is. We also demand our rights.
Could that be considered a handicap to what is considered intelligence?
Back to the old medieval astrology books that considered everyone a serf, perhaps.
    • oh that came out way too obnoxious! sorry guys, didn't mean to come out as all superiour. I see everyone as equals here on earth. though sociopaths can go screw themselves. some people have mathematical strengths, some have language strenght, or geographical strenghts, history knowledge etc. it's all about practice and finetuning a skill. iq is only crystalized knowledge. also known as whats stored in your longterm memory. • Americans treat their people like cattle. Unfortunately it is working.
maybe it is a legacy of having been slavers. I really felt it the first time I went to New-York as a teen-ager and could not wait to get out.
As a matter of fact, we lived in the States for a littl less than a year and moved back to Canada. We felt that the people, at the time, were like zombies.

We are a lot more political where I live.

Do you have vaccination in Europe? That too is very dangerous. They use it to control epidemics that are on the way down due to better hygene and immune system reacting.
Cigarette is another good example of a nice capitalist drug: it keeps you hooked, does not stop you from oing your menail repetitive jobs while numbing your mind just enough so you don't go down on the streets and demand accountability bu the ones in power, or your herd keepers.
Nicotine also kills you. It is the only drug that you take that you know will kill you, directly or indirectly. It also kills you young so you do not become a burden on the state and after prolongued suffering. The kicker is that it is perfectly legal.

We are getting massive advertising in Canada against it because we are medically state cared.

I am sad to warn you that you drinking water is contaminated in Europe. It is all over the world. The studies that we have done are all on one type of chemicals. What we are getting now are cocktails that we have no way of knowing how they react to on human organism except through direct observation.

        Etc, etc...

        This planet could be doomed.

here is a general write up for Mercury in Aries:

              Mercury in Aries

Mercury in Aries communicators make quick decisions--so quick that you might think they don't much like thinking things over. The truth is, Aries communicators don't have a lot of patience for mulling. Their decisions are often driven by the need for instant gratification.

Mercury in Aries men and women are generally quick and to the point in their communications. They are direct and candid, and some may even think their style is crude at times. At times, they can come across as downright aggressive, but that usually happens when they encounter opposition to their opinions and ideas. It is generally a result of frustration, because Mercury in Aries almost childishly assumes that others will accept their opinions smoothly. There is a sensitivity and defensiveness to Aries, and when Mercury is placed in the sign, natives tend to be quite personally attached to their ideas.

These people have a tendency towards streamlined learning. They prefer not to get bogged down in details, and are adept at dismissing what they feel are irrelevant details.

There's a certain innocent charm to Aries communicators. Many will appreciate this sign's utilitarian approach. You can pretty much count on them being straight with you, even if their Sun Sign is the more indirect Pisces.

This Mercury position favors starting new things. Aries is not attached to outdated ideas, and generally adopts an enthusiastic style. Criticism or negative feedback can be taken personally. Still, they are not afraid of a fight or a challenge, on a mental level. They have a visionary intelligence that is sometimes on the idealistic side.

New projects and ideas are taken on with an unmatched enthusiasm with this position of Mercury. However, because there is no shortage of new ideas in life, Mercury in Aries natives can be quick to dump one mental pursuit, way of thinking, or opinion for something fresher and more exciting.

Mercury in Aries people are often excellent at promoting their new ideas. When they're excited about something, their style of communication can be so motivating and fun, the enthusiasm is downright infectious. Aries is a leader, quick to adopt absolutely new and innovative methods--they get a rise out of leading too!

If the Sun Sign is in Pisces or Taurus, these people can sometimes wonder why others get frustrated with them. The truth is, they may come across as more brusque and impatient than they actually are. Mercury in Aries natives make quick decisions, and they don't always understand it when others hedge issues or stay "on the fence".

              • Hi Mem,

Maybe I have been trying to escape my sad Piscean fishbowl that classicial astrology says is my chart high point but let's look at the stats:

                Mercury in Pisces
Mercury in Pisces are gentle communicators with a soft touch that is pleasing and warm. Some of them come across in an almost poetic way. Not given to bother too much with details, these individuals tend to sponge up the feelings and moods of their environment. The information they extract from their surroundings can be unusual and certainly unique. For some, it is heavily skewed in the direction of emotion and feeling.

They're generally lovely listeners and, when you get them talking, warm conversationalists. When it comes to communicating, they're moody, and this extends to their letters and emails too. It's a kind of odd thing -- you never know when they'll be in a quiet mood or a yakking state. These individuals don't compete for air time, but they can talk up a storm when they're in the right frame of mind. Predicting when that will be can be difficult, though. Mercury in Pisces is tactful because they don't want to offend others in any way. They feel out their audience and sometimes search for what they think others want to hear. Yes, Mercury in Pisces can fib. It's not that they are malicious--they simply want others to be comfortable.

These people come across as dreamy and indirect. It can be hard to pin them down to any one belief or decision. It's not that they want to drive you crazy or anything--it's just that Mercury in Pisces takes in so much information from the world and their open-mindedness prevents them from taking a stance for too long. They have an unusual aversion to cold facts and hard decisions. Driven more by intuition than facts, these people avoid list-making and the like. Others might think them disorganized but they have an uncanny knack of finding things nonetheless. There is a tendency to avoid detail work or tying up loose ends, not to mention the mind drifting off to Never-Never Land.

Mercury in Pisces is tuned in to all the nuances of subjects and environments. They pick up on subtleties of all kinds, so what they lack in organization they make up for with insight. When the Sun Sign is Aries, much of the brashness and directness of Aries is considerably toned down with Mercury in Pisces. Aquarius Sun people with this position are artistic and humane.

Mercury in Pisces people are often vague and indirect in their communications with others. If they learn to express themselves with more clarity, they'll find that a lot of the problems they can encounter with misunderstandings will lessen. Their impressionable nature can make them an easy target at times. Their plans may seem too dreamy and unrealistic to more practical sorts, lacking the details that make them seem more attainable. But Mercury in Pisces' vision is extraordinary, and their leaps of faith are admirable.

                Favorite expression: "I believe..."

Well, l this applies to me too, to a tee, along with the rest. I am an omnithinker (throw in perfect trine to Uranus for a quick jolt here) as a way out.

But I am also a rational quick thinker. I aced the famed LSAT on the 91st percentile mark and I remember sitting on the Obligation Civil Law Exam, having finished way ahead of the pack and wondering what people were doing. It was a little embarrassing to hand in the exam so fast – The Pisces niceness - but I finally did and aced everything once again. French Lam is Code Law and impeccable in its logical delivery (though it may not make much sense in real life. The French are just great at creating flawless impecable system sometimes devoid of all practicality.
Also, nothing beats having an impatient Aries up your ass if you are a Fsh. After a short while, It impresses swift velocity.

I still think that I am smart and that Aries in general are smart and that we are not recognised at our own value.
                • Mercury in Taurus

Mercury in Taurus natives are plodders. They may take their time to arrive at a decision, but they get there -- they are actually quite decisive, even stubborn with their opinions. Some may mistake the time they take over decisions for laziness, but look a little deeper and you will find that these people do think.

Mercury in Taurus men and women may be slow to start a new project, but they see it through to the end. You may need to poke them to get them going, however. They have much common sense at their disposal.

These people rely on their senses when it comes to processing information. Smells, noises, and mood are all employed. Their communication style may, at times, be slow and measured. You may get a sense that these people are quite deliberate in what they do.

There is a placid quality to Mercury in Taurus natives--when they speak, they are generally not bubbling or scattered. As a result, others really listen to them. They take them seriously. The practicality of the sign often shows up in a rather sarcastic manner, although Mercury in Taurus people have an overall pleasing manner of communicating. In fact, they can be quite funny with their "say it like it is" style.

Many people with this placement of Mercury have especially pleasant voices. The down-to-earth quality of Taurus often shows up in the speech, so it's unlikely that their expression will be flowery or affected. Instead, it's infused with a realistic tone that can be rather authoritative.

When it comes to learning, Mercury in Taurus prefers demonstrations, concrete answers, and basic concepts. These natives learn best when they see real-world uses for the theories they're trying to absorb. Not that they wouldn't be able to comprehend the abstract--they simply process information better when they can personalize it (what use is it to me?) and attach it to the practical world. It's interesting to note that Taurus is a sign that naturally assesses things in terms of what they can do for them. With Mercury placed in the sign, information is processed, and either accepted or discarded, with this kind of "screening" process.

Well-developed sense of color, smell, and touch are characteristic of this position of Mercury. These people have well-defined tastes, and these revolve very much around the world of the five senses.

If the Sun Sign is in Aries or Gemini, these people can come across as more bull-headed than they actually are. They have a no-nonsense approach to decision-making, and their ideas are often very practical and useful.
                  • This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.
Thanks Mem, it added some nuance to where we were "headed" !
                    • Sorry Eniad,
I did not mean to take over your post with one comment. *Sheesh* lol

Some sources say that Mercury in Taurus makes the native slow to learn. Period. Other sources say it makes you slow to come to decisions. *Meaning I have the information, but which way do I want to go with it.*

Being someone that actually has a Taurus-Merc I find that the latter is true. This is just my personal experience. Planets are given their unique shades by not only the sign that resides in it, but also the other variables within the chart that effect it.

I'm a baby in astrology and I do not claim to know everything... *yet* ;P

Here's a short excerpt i found that supports what I was trying to saymin my earlier comments:

                      Page 7
If the Sun sign is Aries, Mercury in Taurus acts as an excellent stabilizer to the impetuous Arian. The ability to think slowly and constructively is an asset, and the chances of impulsive or reckless decision-making are very much mitigated. There is plenty of common sense, and the individual will have no difficulty in pacing him- or herself when making plans or preparing for any kind of examination or test.

                      (extra) pg.9
. If the Sun is in Aries and Mercury is in Taurus, Arian inventiveness can be applied to the production of objects of a practical nature. Such an individual may be both a trailblazer and a road-builder. He knows how to promote ideas and make them materially effective.

Search Aries on the site and it will describe how the Aries Sun colors Mercury. I started reading this particular source today, but so far very informative.

So I guess my question is what is the Sun/ Mercury experience for everyone else here? How does Aries add to your Mercury??

                        MERCURY BY SIGN
                        Natal Mercury in Aries
(Jan Spiller and Karen McCoy) Static When you fear losing the visible impact of direct and authoritative communication, you cease to communicate successfully with others. You may have a tendency to speak in ways that appear aggressive, overbearing, and almost militant in expression. This challenging, intimidating attitude toward the audience can result in alienation and misunderstanding. Dynamic When your attention is on communicating in a way that inspires others to act, your natural sense of combat is turned into a creative, stimulating interaction. By focusing on inspiring others, you are able to express yourself in ways that awaken them to new perceptions of their immediate circumstances. By becoming aware of their reactions, you can know in advance the impact your communication will have. This awareness of the other person leads to gaining the Aries sense of freedom for assertive expression. (Grant Lewi) Your reaction to sense impressions is keen and alert. You detect smells, sounds, sights and tastes actutely and are very much alive to what you do or don't like in the world of sense impressions. Your sense of touch is not as alert as the others senses, though you are capable of training this sense if one of the others is served by it. Thus you can develop the sensitive fingers of a musician (violinist or pianist), making your touch serve hearing; or the robust hands of a sculptor, to make touch serve sight. Your reaction to sense impressions is personal; you interpret what you sense in the light of your ego, and are a scientific observer only if your total ego development is along those lines. Generally you will be impressed by, and remember, what serves your purposes; let the chips fall where they may. Sound is very important to you, and you should strive to live only amid harmonious and agreeable sounds. Cultivate the habit of listening to music, for sound penetrates directly to your ego centers, and, if it is harmonious, serves to harmonize your whole nature. (Sydney Omarr) In Aries, Mercury tells of one who reacts quickly, is sensitive, perceives artistic values; appreciates originality; is delighted by skill, talent and creativity; and is capable of offering criticism on the highest level. The astrologer must help the native to become something more then merely clever. He needs to learn the value of being thorough, determined - creative rather than merely headstrong. Indications are that the native is fluent in speech. Grant Lewi makes that point that sound is very important to the native, and he should strive to live amid 'agreeable' sounds. The native, thus, would be attracted to music and should be encouraged to develop his sense of music appreciation. He reacts to first impressions and must avoid acting completely on impulse. He has an active imagination but requires

direction, discipline and realization of his own potential. (Skye Alexander) Your mind is quick and active, and you tend to grasp concepts with lightning speed. If an idea or subject interests you, you pursue it with fervor and enthusiasm. However, you have trouble sticking with anything for long, and your memory isn't very good. Your mind is always racing from one thought to another, and you find it difficult to concentrate. Consequently, you probably weren't an 'A' student even if you are quite bright. Mentally restless and easily bored, you need to be continually challenged intellectually in order to keep you interested. You especially enjoy exploring new ideas and concepts. You don't believe something just because everyone else does, and you can be something of a renegade thinker. Conventional wisdom and accepted truths don't have much value for you, and you are eager to contest them with original ideas of your own. This is the position of the inventor and the adventurer. Because you aren't blinded by religious attitudes and beliefs, you sometimes come up with brilliant insights and epiphanies. But in your headlong rush to discover the new you sometimes overlook important bits of information or are careless in your research. You have a powerful voice and tend to speak loudly and forcefully. This planetary position often signifies the dynamic orator or the irritating loud-mouth. You love to argue, and will debate almost any issue heatedly, even if your purpose is only to exercise your mental muscles. Verbally assertive, even provocative, you get yourself into trouble regularly because you donm't know when to hold your tongue or use a bit of tact. You have a real knack for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. Even when you aren't angry, your tone of voice can be so abrasive that it antagonizes others immediately; and you can be difficult to get along with. Your bark, however, is much worse than your bite, and if your Sun is in Taurus or Pisces you are probably a pussycat who roars like a lion. You often espouse unconventional beliefs, and aren't afraid to champion an unpopular cause. Direct and honest (sometimes brutally so), you say what you think. Not deceitful, you believe in laying all your cards on the table so that everyone knows where you stand and what your intentions are. Your purity of intent at times is so innocent and naive, though, that people who are more conniving or cunning can easily take advantage of you. Mercury in Aries focuses energy into your hands, giving you great manual strength and / or speed. Saturn aspects to your Mercury will help discipline your mind and focus your attention so that you can direct your mental energy into productive channels. They also improve your memory so that you are more likely to retain what you learn. (Marion D. March and Joan McEvers) You are imaginative, and you have good foresight and a desire to be first in everything. You can express yourself easily, and you can improvise beautifully. At times you use your nervous energies cuttingly or even sarcastically. Impetuous and impulsive, you may tend to sudden shifts and changes of viewpoint. This placement is not well adapted for sustained mental effort; therefore you need to cultivate patience and learn not to be impatient with delays. Witty, inventive and quick on the trigger, you have original ideas. Combative, you love a good debate. Sometimes you can be too headstrong or too self-centred. If there are challenging aspects from Mercury to

Jupiter in your chart, you are prone to exaggeration. You tend to look at the world as you wish it to be, not as it really is. Many fixed planets in your chart will help to stabilize this placement of Mercury. (Frances Sakoian and Louis Acker) Mercury placed in the sign Aries indicates a way of thinking that is inclined to be decisive and competitive. The natives are fond of debate and argument. They often have the ability to think rapidly, and may produce many original ideas. However, they can be impulsive when meking decisions and see things from too personal a point of view. If carried too far, this tendency can result in intellectual egotism and headstrong attitudes. These people are impatient with opposition and delays; consequently, they will often act just to make a decision, to avoid being subjected to lengthy, frustrating decisionmaking processes. But their impulsiveness means they do not always follow through on ideas they initiate, unless a fixed sign emphasized in the horoscope indicates otherwise. If Mercury is afflicted in this sign, there can be irritability and a quick temper. (Julia and Derek Parker) This gives decisiveness, quick thinking, and the ability to assess problems in a straightforward way. If Mercury is in negative aspect to Mars there may be impulsive thinking and hasty actions. Usually, however, the natural decisiveness works well, with the individual making the right choice and taking positive, assertive action. There is a love of argument and debate, with a tendency towards stimulating and provocative remarks. Generally fools are not suffered gladly; the individual comes straight to the point, and his or her outlook is both positive and optimistic. The overall grasp is excellent; but help is advisable when making plans, for he is bored by detail and prefers the broad sweep of a project. It can be difficult to concentrate for long, so study may be erratic. Here is someone who will stay up all night before an exam - and often this is no bad thing, since he is more concerned with the here and now than with facts he tried months before to memorise. If the Sun sign is Pisces, Mercury in Aries adds necessary decisiveness, a more positive outlook, and to a certain extent more self-assurance. The imagination will be ignited, and as a result the creative potential will be expressed positively when in other cases it can lie dormant due to lack of self-confidence. The high emotional level of Pisces will be expressed; and the ability to communicate feelings enhanced, although if Mercury is negatively aspected by the Moon or Uranus there can be an above-average amount of tension, and excitable, positive moods can alternate with periods of uncertainty. Piscean strength of will is increased. If the Sun sign is Aries, the Arian need for action, and to be out in front, is spiced with extremely quick thinking processes. There is a general hastiness, with patience almost non-existent, unless the Moon or Ascendant suggests otherwise. Directness of approach, decisiveness and positive, uncomplicated thinking are splendidly in tuen with Arian characteristics; and if they can be tempered (look for positive help from Saturn) the individual will certainly make his or her mark on the world. Impulsive, hasty actions with unnecessary risk-taking, and selfishness due to a lack of thought, must be controlled. If the Sun sign is Taurus, speed and vivacity are added to the stable Taurean type, making him or her less cautious but more assertively decisive. However, the

individual will also be less patient and may even show some irritation when others do not greet his ideas or suggestions in the right way. Problems and projects are approached with realism and enthusiasm; and the Taurean need for careful planning will be enhanced by the ability to grasp a situation quickly and concisely. A spirit of enterprise blends with the Taurus business ability.
                        • "Sorry Eniad,
I did not mean to take over your post with one comment. *Sheesh* lol "

No offense taken, I did not even notice. Don't have much of an ego on small things and couldn,t care less. The thread is meant for everyone who has an idea on the topic to share.

There is also one very large omission. Aries, governing the head also governs the brain. It is obvious.
This is not Middle-Age astrology about battling rams breaking down the castle door - though I can do that very well too - it is simply about intelligence, no matter where Mercury, a planet is positionned!
              • I am a Taurus with my Mercury in Aries. I learn very quickly, and have an insatiable appetite for new information. I love learning! I was reading before I was three, without any training, and have been known to read technical manuals for fun. Dork patrol, I know.
There is a dynamic struggle inside of me which occasionally pops out. I am usually pretty mellow, even-tempered, quiet. Sometimes, I feel this enormous mental pressure and do not understand why people don't get what I am saying. I can definitely come across as being quite harsh, something that my best friend reminds me of all too frequently, it seems. The thing is that I know that I am a tender, loving, kind person whose mind and mouth move faster than I feel comfortable with. I have a Libra asc. and moon, and my Venus is in Taurus, so I am horrified at the things that I say sometimes. I have no patience for passive aggression, however, and really do feel it is best to say what is troubling me. I say it, hope for a response, listen, and then move on. Not getting a response is the single-most maddening thing because it makes me feel that I can't drop the issue, and then my Taurean stubbornness can be overwhelming. To me, too, not just the recipient of said stubbornness.
I am not proud of this aspect of myself. I am realistic, however, and know that everyone has their foibles. I just wish mine weren't so obvious!
