Hi everyone,
I have seen a Tribal dance pattern at Fabric Land & would recommend getting that if you aree lokking for costuming. It has Bloomers, Choli, Scarves, Belt ideas etc. It would be far easier to follow then anything I have, & you wouldn't have to size it. The pattern is Simplicity #3832. Here is a link,
www.simplicity.com/index.cfm
it under Adult costumes: Fairies & dancers. I not sure what the connection is there but....

Re: Costuming for Student Show
Fri, March 28, 2008 - 3:21 PMOne note---consensus from the costume tribes on this costume is that you will need to make some alterations to the top or it will pull up when you raise your arms. Gusset under the arm, elastic along the bottom, or changing the angle of the sleeve so it doesn't angle down have been suggested. Probably more details on Tribal Costuming, it's been discussed a couple of times. :)

Sun, April 6, 2008 - 1:16 PMAs per our discussion in today's class, here is the website from which I ordered my cholis. I notice she's out of smalls at the moment, though.
www.annabella.net/tribal/ch...4sale.html
Her price to Canada is $32 AUS. As of today, that coverts to $29.78 Cdn. When some of us ordered from her last year, she did reduce the price slightly for shipping multiple items in the same package.
