We would like to thank everyone who entered the contest to play the show with us at Mighty this Friday in SF. There was an unexpectedly large response and so much good music to choose. You guys did not make our job easy. Without further adieu, the winner is........
SALVA from San Francisco.

This guy is ready to throw down some serious bass. He will be performing from 930-1030 with Buddy Leezle (215 The Freshest Kidz) in the main room so get there early! A special late addition Blingmod from our Montreal fam will be gracing the bassbins as well.

Re: [SF] FRI 5/9/08 THE GLITCH MOB (ALL 4) LIVE in SF @ MIGHTY
Sun, May 11, 2008 - 10:02 AMAwesome show! I was thrilled to hear so much new material - didn't recognize the first three tracks. It was also great to see such an enthusiastic following of obvious fans - when "You Ain't Artsier than Me" came on, several people around me were singing along and knew all the words.
On the down side it was seriously over-crowded, like Ground Zero. As in, couldn't-move-crowded. This is often a problem at Mighty. -

Re: [SF] FRI 5/9/08 THE GLITCH MOB (ALL 4) LIVE in SF @ MIGHTY
Mon, May 12, 2008 - 10:33 AMI hear that. The fact that I physically could not dance was a bit of a bummer... having looked forward to this show for quite a while. The hippies next to me probably had the right idea by not bathing... their B.O. somehow was able to create a forcefield of funk around them, and they danced and blazed weed merrily in their stench bubble just fine.
But the GM music was amazing! Was really feeling the new tracks. An you all know how to perform and get the crowd hype.
I coulda listened to a bunch less of flying lotus... for some reason I just couldn't feel that groove.
Lazer Sword was THE SHIT! I am gonna catch them again asap.

Re: [SF] FRI 5/9/08 THE GLITCH MOB (ALL 4) LIVE in SF @ MIGHTY
Mon, May 12, 2008 - 12:06 PMWe realize it is too hot/sticky/loud/crowded there and it's definitely an issue.. And the sound is not so great. But thanks for sticking with us - next time we will be at a more suitable spot...
Lazer Sword rules! Love those guys
What are people's favorite spots? We are thinking Mezzanine next

Re: [SF] FRI 5/9/08 THE GLITCH MOB (ALL 4) LIVE in SF @ MIGHTY
Mon, May 12, 2008 - 4:49 PM1015 main room (especially when you use the 103 harriet entrance and only have 1 room)
mezzanine is decent too....but does get uncomfortably full
fillmore is the spot and is never too crowded...
i don't think there are any other options for venues with enough capacity...temple could be cool on a weeknight though -

Tue, May 13, 2008 - 11:07 AMreally don't care for 1015 myself, mezzanine sounds much better... or the great american music hall is nice -

Re: [SF] FRI 5/9/08 THE GLITCH MOB (ALL 4) LIVE in SF @ MIGHTY
Wed, May 14, 2008 - 9:45 AMYeah I was looking forward to hearing you guys for a while and as usual Mighty was oversold and it was tough to dance. I am glad we drove up to Sebastopol to hear you guys cause there was lots of space to dance there. Either way the sound you’ve developed is amazing and hope you come back very soon and bring along Lazer Sword (and maybe even Megasoid and Mofomatronix?).

Wed, May 14, 2008 - 2:33 PMparticularly... i'd like to see you guys throw it down at the top room of the regency again like @ zero ground...
I still can't get over how awesome that night was, big thanks to the mob!
And yeah, crowded... but never the less a very fun night.

Tue, May 13, 2008 - 4:09 PMKezar Auditorium, Pier 30/32, the Regency's Grand Ballroom, or St. Mary's Cathedral Center all have some serious potential. -

Re: [SF] FRI 5/9/08 THE GLITCH MOB (ALL 4) LIVE in SF @ MIGHTY
Fri, May 16, 2008 - 10:29 AMIf Bimbo's removed their tables, that could be a really great venue. It's bigger than Mighty, but not huge. I've only been to one show there - the sound was very good. A friend who knows more about sound systems that i do thinks they have a killer sound system. -

Re: [SF] FRI 5/9/08 THE GLITCH MOB (ALL 4) LIVE in SF @ MIGHTY
Fri, May 16, 2008 - 3:42 PMI vote for Great American Music Hall. Don't care much for Temple. Too yuppy and it would be waaaaaaaaaaay too small for ya'll. Tipper was pretty packed and you guys bring the masses! 1015 has been slayed a few times now; def time to move on up and out. Mezzanine would be cool, but also extremely packed. Venue size has become quite an issue.... The Fillmore isn't a bad suggestion.
Kraddy, you're new song more than slayed me. Holy hey zeus!
