It’s hard to change through love. It’s so much easier to get angry and make change happen. Or to keep hitting the same wall till the choice is change or die. Or to stand still, doing nothing, praying for change…and in the end does it ever come unless we bring it? It’s hard to change because you love yourself. It’s such a powerful thought; I want to say it again. Change because you love yourself. Whew! It’s liberating, really. Change not because of pain, anger, or fear, but because of love. How liberating is that? I didn’t say it would be easy, but you’re not opposed to a little hard work are you? You, who fights for the correct medication, doctors, second opinions? You, who commutes, navigates job evaluations, managers, and coworkers? You, who shops, cooks, cleans, manages a household? You, who parents tirelessly and endlessly? You, who lives online, goes wireless, and can be reached by phone at any time? You, who collects ideas about money and retirement, and plans for the future? You. You can do it. Step up to the mirror right now. Look yourself in the eye and say “I love you.” I can feel the changes happening, can’t you?

For us, belly dance is all about changing through loving yourself. We promise you’ll see yourself change into a belly dancer through love. It’s what we do. We’ve worked hard at it for nearly 20 years and we do it for you. Why belly dance? Well, sometimes it still mystifies even us – belly dance is connected, it is deeply connected to our female bodies. We provide the space to love yourself and the encouragement to do so, the dance does the rest.

Ch-Ch-Changes…
It’s time for TGD to transform once again. Our dear Cathy leaves us to teach her own classes in Belly Dance for Pregnancy and Birth. She has contributed so much to TGD and she’ll be missed. Look for links to her events on our website. Or check out her web page: www.inthebellyofthegoddess.com/ Blessed be, Cathy!

More Classes, More Places
We return to Boston University to teach three dance classes this semester. Two Beginner and one Advanced Beginner. These classes are open to the public, so don’t be shy! Karen continues with the Chelsea studio teaching young girls, and at our Cambridge studio we have two classes Beginner and Advanced Beginner. Here is all the info you’ll need: www.thegoddessdancing.com/class...le.htm

Weekend Classes
We’ve been asked for a long time to hold classes during the day on the weekends because evenings can be hard for some. So, we have two classes on the weekends. Check it out at: www.bu.edu/fitrec/progr.../dflexd.shtml

Your Turn
Our Teacher Training program is as popular as ever. Local slots fill up fast so send us an email if you’d like to enroll. We lead you through learning our Beginner program, and then support you while you practice teaching bellydance right in our studios. We’ll stick with you till you feel confident to do it on your own! www.thegoddessdancing.com/teach...ng.htm

Don’t miss the ‘new look’ to our website!

Blessings In These Times of Change,
