I have been spending entirely too much time on tribe lately, hope you're not all getting tired of hearing from me. I have been a bit restless this week as I have had less work than usual. When I look back over my day it actually sounds like a busy one but I am used to working a good 60 hours a week as school in addition to running my healing practice, mobile tarot business and teaching workshops. During the summer I usually only work about 30 hours or so and that feels like a lot of free time.
Today, I had lunch with my friend Inge the Happy Vegan Baker who just bought her first hula hoop from me a couple of weeks ago, then I had a meeting with with the Coordinator for the Global Youth Peace Summit, about volunteering and helping with promotion. It is an amazing thing if any of you want to check it out online, there are still accepting kids into the camp and are also needing donations. (just a small plug)
Helped the Enchanted Forest overrun City hall during the Council meeting, This was good we had a good turn out but we weren't allowed to speak so I began tearing pages out of my planner and writing the words Enchanted Forest on each page. My friend Sage had tape so we all taped Enchanted Forest signs on ourselves to show just how many of us were there in support of the Forest. When the entire lobby of the City Hall was filled with bodies labeled Enchanted Forest, some of the Council members came out to talk with Albert (guardian of the land) so I think they will meet with him personally now.
At the end of it all, I came home to hoop. I took out my cadillac and practiced some of the hand and arm hooping things I have been trying to figure out and just sweated out my thoughts in the humid, after the rain, summer air. I love the summer.
Oh, I got the fire hoop yesterday. I played with it without the wicks, will wait until daylight to play with wicks unlit a few times before I burn.
