i know there was a tragedy in the lives of one of the hoop pathers, and it has been shared with me that this is the reason for so much quiet time in this tribe. prayers to all involved, and hooping love! :)

    Hello Rebecca

It's not just the Hoop Path tribe is it? It's all of them. We have become sadly fragmented. Tribe was brilliant. They just didn't realise what they had.

Now there are so many places for hoopers to hang out it's all got watered down. I really miss the connections we all had here on Tribe. Of course Philo is doing his bit with the new forums on Hooping.org, but in a way the damage is already done. Facebook, Sapphire's community, Tribe, Hooping.org and various other smaller ones. It's too much to keep track on.

But we are still all still hooping, so that's great.

I've had the same trouble, Patricia...have you tried opening FB in a number of different internet browsers and see if one works for you? For instance, my Firefox will hardly ever load FB at all - I can hardly ever get the main page to work. If I try FB in Internet Explorer instead (only FB...all my other windows are in Firefox) then FB will actually open and work the majority of the time. Strange.

Well at least there are a lot of other connective points for us hoopers to stay in contact besides tribe, like FB and Hooping.org and Safire's community...the changes in tribe is a sad loss, but Hoopers will stay connected forever...it's in our blood. :-))

I know I hardly come on Tribe anymore, but I miss it dearly. FB does not compare. There is not the communal feel on FB. I know that tribe has had it's problems, but it would be nice if we tried to keep it active. I will make more of an effort to come on more often and post....

I've had problems on FB too. almost everytime I'm on some error or another comes up. I haven't quite figured out the forums on Hooping.org. I'm sure its not rocket science, but I feel confused by it. I can't seem to search for anything or anyone...so I just haven't signed up for it yet. I'm sure I will soon...it just seems overwhelming to me.

I think they are making some serious changes to their applications Lynn. I've noticed new development on how features function. Most likely, that's the case.

It must be the hoopers. We put out too much circular energy for folks to handle!

I can't get on to facebook because it is blocked at work, and my personal computer only works occasionally. eventually I'll buy a new computer, but until then, like I said, it's to the library I go.
Work hasn't ever caught on to Tribe...

Probably every time the administrators have tried to check out tribe to see what that's all about, Tribe has been down, and the administrators end up playing Connect 4 or whatever it's called.

        Hey, donut panic!
Sigh. Yes, tribe has its problems. But I miss the community that was being built. Seems lately no one comes around to play anymore...

It's really hard trying to keep them all going isn't it? If I'm not careful I end up saying the same thing over and over.

I remember when I first started to hoop how I would get up and Tribe would be the place I went for my first cup of tea and wake up. Then in the evening I'd post and read and really feel we were all in the same space. It just doesn't work like that now some people are in one place and some in another.

As Bonnie said, I shall try to come back more often. The UK Tribe is a real dead duck at the moment. It was so exciting when Sharna was posting to it all the time and putting her videos up here. Now we have to remember to search for them somewhere on YouTube.

Oh, well. Perhaps it will come full circle. All things have a habit of doing that. Especially where hoops are concerned.

I feel the loss as well. I much prefer to forum here on Tribe to Facebook and the fact that we can actually have discussions. I used to complain that Tribe was a little like drinking from a fire hose. Now it feels like the connection has been cut off and there are only drips and dribbles. I feel a fondness for Tribe and for the people I've met here. I have to admit that I'm particular to the HoopPath Tribe because the focus seems to be more on community, both local and afar. I wouldn't have sought out Sue if it wasn't for Tribe! I'm going to put more energy here and see what happens.
