Classes this week, 4/14-4/20

Monday the 14th will be a hoopjam. We will circle up briefly for checking in and updates (and any juicy gossip that anyone wants to share). If any of you have moves that you want to work on, bring them to the circle and we will collaborate at a group.

Tuesday the 15th: Mary Water, a veteran HoopPather, and I will co-lead a Foundations class. We will be focusing on some basic techniques for review and are looking forward to playing with some special techniques involving stalling, spinning and two-point that are dear to our heart. Please feel free to come with any questions or special requests.

Wednesday the 16th will be an hoopjam open to all levels. Xenya will be DJing and we are looking forward to our dear friend, Kimowan, joining us on the mat.

The Shakori Hills Festival will begin on Thursday the 17th and will go through Sunday the 20th. We will not have our regular HoopJam on Saturday the 19th, but will resume the 3-5 pm HoopJam on Saturday the 26th.

It's going to be a week full of hooping and happenings. Looking forward to seeing you all throughout the week!

    Aw, dangit! Why can't I be there and come to all these classes and jams too??? (pout, pout)

    Well, I'll try to console myself with the heart-stoppingly beautiful California coast and the bottomless well of hospitality we're enjoying here in Santa Cruz ; >

            Lord, I wish I coulda been there! I've gotten myself kidnapped, tho--somehow, quite mysteriously, I got chained to the Capitola Boardwalk. I'm sitting in a lounge chair, slathered with tanning oil, and someone's doing my nails...oh, well, so the thing is I don't think I'll be able to get back *quite* by next Wednesday--might be a couple more months of torture here in Santa Cruz before these mysterious, nameless, faceless captors will let me go!!!!

            ...Now, where did I put that margarita...?

            (I'm sure Beth did a great job! And I know Beth & Mary will KICK IT tomorrow night!!)

              Oh that sounds just horrible Ann! I'm sure we'll get right on our rescue efforts. We have nothing else to do...like raise our children, nurse the babies, save rainwater in this drought, work on our own inner peace....these things can surely wait to *save* you from such monsterous conditions.

                It sounds like Wynter is not being dispatched for this particular search party, so you are on your own, Ann! It sounds like you are being tortured in the most inhumane way possible so I hope you are able to survive it.
