Very short clip of the Hoopers Ball

We lost power before the ball b/c of a storm and it stayed out all night, but the flock pulled together and made their own music and had tons of fun. You can't see all the non-LED hoops hooping it up on the floor, but they are there!
This is Tim Smith on Sax and the HoopPath Bleacher Band (banging on the bleachers) for percussion.

It sounds pretty dang good. A testiment to the motivation hoopers have to get down despite all odds. Tim, thanks for bringing your beautiful music and your beautiful self to the Ball. You were a more integral part of the HP Retreat than many people know.

Word to the bleacher band! I got to the ball a little late because of the insane storm, so when I walked into the building I heard the music and thought yeah, everyone is rocking out. I went into the bathroom to dry off, and someone came in and said that there was no power. I thought she was joking because I KNEW I'd heard music when I came in. It turned out that what I'd been hearing was the infamous bleacher band.

Thanks to Tim for providing music for us once again (and all his behind the scenes help during the retreat), as well as Natalie for recording this unforgettable moment. Thanks to Bax, Ann, and the other locals who never lost their cool for a moment and came up with an alternate plan for the ball. Lastly thanks to all the HPers who banded together (haha) and decided that we could have fun no matter what. The most important thing to us was that we were together.

Just goes to show that you don't need power when you have Tim, the bleacher band, and a bunch of psi hoops. We don't need no stinking electricity!
