On Wednesday, Sept 2, and Wed, sept 9, we'll be having jams at the Do Jhang at the usual class times (8:15-9:45).

Also, tomorrow, Saturday Aug 29, 2009, we'll be having the usual Saturday jam at the Do Jhang, with music provided by Beth. Don't tell Baxter, though. He thinks we just don't hoop while he's out of town.

Nobody has discussed Saturday, Sept 5. Any interest?

For Saturday's jam I made what I think may be my favorite ever play list. Alas, it's probably all down hill from here. :-D
One of these days, I'll Bax and Ann will be here when I'm hosting. I'd like them to see that I've evolved from the 2 hour electronica/bellydance lists I first put together. Also, I had several songs on here that I thought might specifically appeal to them.
    Oh well.

Since I had 3 people at the jam ask for the playlist, I thought i'd post it here. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

    Wataru Kodo
Through The Shadows (Part 1) Axiom Of Choice
    Akua Tuta Robbie Robertson
    Sorrow David Bowie
    19 Paul Hardcastle
    Natural One Folk Implosion
    Wicked Man's Rest Passenger
    Polka Wah
    This Love Maroon 5
    Himatsuri Bliki Circus
I Forgot That Love Existed Van Morrison
    Closing Time Leonard Cohen
    Secret Garden Bruce Springsteen
The Real Deal [Radio Edit] Goldfish
I Turn My Camera On Spoon
    Bored Bayou Smog
    Running Blind Godsmack
    Personal Jesus Johnny Cash
I Don't Care Fall Out Boy
    Barra Barra Rachid Taha
    Insomnie Yvan Marc
    Intro Martina Topley-Bird
Forever And A Day Ian Brown
    Run On Moby
    Song Noir Jon Auer
    Ghost Dance Robbie Robertson
Sometimes Our Dreams Float Like Anchors William Elliott Whitmore
    Shut it Tight T-Bone Burnett
    Sanctuary Nitin Sawhney

It's funny how you pick things up from each other.
Beth introduced me to Axiom of Choice
Bonnie reminded me that I protest-type songs, which led me to T-Bone Burnett and 19 by Paul Hardcastle.
Robbie and I grooved to Rachid Taha at Shakori Hills.
The Bruce and Van Morrison songs I got from my NIA instructor.

I guess it takes a community to make a good playlist.
OK, back to my spreadsheets. Ya'll have a great day!
