The show tonight was just spectacular.

The vibe is as thick in there as it ever was and I love the new personality that has been added.

It was truly a moment that I will treasure for the rest of my life.

Enough to bring tears to my eyes.

My deepest gratitude to Tim and April and all those responsible in some way for keeping us from having to say goodbye.

We're THRILLED to announce our Halloweekend festivities at The Lounge and YOU are cordially invited to join in the phun!

Friday 10/26/07 just so happens to be the opening night of Halloweekend and also a FULL MOON! We are going to celebrate this in spookyfied style with an evening of BOOgrass by our resident pickers and grinners, Moonshine Summit. BYOB, you know the drill. Costumes are encouraged...if you like playing along with the theme, come dressed as something inspired by a bluegrass song. Or just come as you are and we'll name your ass after a song when you get here. hehehe

movie tonight and pool loungin'

For those of you who are coming out to the WW compound for the movie tonight, feel free to bring a swim suit if you have any interest in dipping in the "warm" pool, I have it some what heated, not a hot tub by far, but very nice for soaking. My main rule is no (young) kids in the pool, mainly because it's one of the cheap inflated ones that pop easily. I would like to have it around as long as possible. You might want to bring a snuggly warm towel too, cause it's a little nippy when you get out.

I guess I didn't make a very good choice when I deleted the thread. All I was trying to do was keep the peace, apparently it was a bad move on my part. I am not trying to censor this tribe. In the future I will try to be more considerate. I hope we don't have any more people leave over this. It wasn't my intention to cause this kind of drama...

And you can't slow down!!

I created this tribe so that we can have a new place to keep up with haps at the Lounge.... I will never be able to replace the Jellyheads (not that I would want to), but I though it would be a good idea to start a new tribe. With the exit of the DAD's to thier wonderful mountain home, I find myself in a position to keep a pulse going here at the Lounge. We want to continue to have gatherings and pot lucks as well as low key shows from time to time as long as we continue to live here.

Feel free to add this tribe to your list, so you can be updated when there are activities happening at the Lounge.... more to come SOON!

sunrise over the lounge

Well it's not very often I am up at this hour, watching the sun come up over the lounge from my apt. window.... as I was floating around in my "chill zone" ghetto pool last night, it started to really sink in, that I am living here at the lounge. I know we have been moved in for a couple of months, but with all the hectic packing/moving/unpacking and then leaving town for almost 3 weeks, I really haven't had the time to sit and absorb the fact that this shift has really happened. Now with the WW's moving into the house, I feel even more excited to be able to have this time here, to share and learn and grow with my phamily. I am looking forward to all the fun times just ahead of us as we regroup and open the lounge back up.

Keeping a low profile...

Since the Jellyphish was getting so much attention, now that it has officially closed down, it seems to me the best thing that can happen right now is keeping the Lounge on a lower profile for a while. There was a bit of an upset with the neighbor at the last show, so we would like to keep things a little quite for a while. It is our intention to keep this place going, but on a smaller scale. Bring it back to the roots, and make it more of a Phamily place again. I am not trying to make this exclusive, but prefer to keep the general public out of our happenings with some exceptions once in a while. The main focus will be a place to jam, have movie nights, pot lucks, acoustic acts, and any other phamily oriented parties or after show spill over (as it was in the beginning) and not make public our goings on if we can help it. I am sure many of you are in agreement, and if you want to invite people you know to this tribe, feel free, but please use discression.

there will be a bit of a resting period for the Lounge while we wait for this hot weather to start cooling back down, but as soon as we have something planned to happen out here, I will post about it here in this tribe.
