Saturday, July 25 Workshop:

"Living for Layering"* ~ Special 3-hour workshop!
Noon - 3:00pm :: $45 per class/$50 per class at door

Frédérique's comprehensive approach to layering is for those who are interested in solidifying their technique, or those who simply want to learn how to layer. She will go over the fundamentals in what makes layering delectable to your spectators and peers alike, and why. We will work on articulating our hips and chest assisted by technique and fluidity while we drill: variations in time signatures with our hips / shimmies and chest isolations, while adding other flourishes to express your moment with the music. The frame work of your articulations; head, arm, and leg placement will be heavily scrutinized. Recommended: Take your B vitamins and boost your brain power before entering class. Class begins with a short lecture and ends with Q and A. *This is a mixed level class.

Sunday, July 26 Workshop:

"Advance Your Technique with Frederique "* ~ Special 3-hour workshop!
Noon - 3:00pm :: $45 per class/$50 per class at door

Frédérique has applied her knowledge of both the gym; teaching strength training, and belly dance to form a specific focus on drills for belly dancers. Be prepared to challenge your body and mind. This workshop will focus on advanced isometric exercises with drills created specifically for belly dancers to develop control and muscle memory. This focus will aid in making difficult movements look effortless with an emphasis on balance, the separation between upper and lower body, fluidity, and an eye for structural composition. Class begins with a short lecture and ends with Q and A. *This is a mixed level class.
