PEX SUMMER FESTIVAL

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS!

Hi everyone! This is Hunnybear and I have the honor of helping corral all you sexy volunteers for the PEX Summer Festival!!

I'm pretty sure you know the event details already - but for the latest and greatest, check out the website at pexsummerfestival.com/

Now, I'm wrangling those who want to help by greeting arrivals, keeping the parking lot organized, helping to recruit volunteers and answer questions, or keep the site clean. If you want to help in any other way - rangers, lifeguards, EMT, set up or tear down, or any other areas - you are invited to email me and I'll pass it on to the people in charge of those things!

A quick rundown of the roles:

GREETER: Typically 2 hour shifts. Greet those who arrive in an appropriate fashion, take care of tickets and entry, direct people where to go.

PARKING BADGER: Typically 2 hour shifts. Direct cars where to park so we can fit everyone in the lot, and direct traffic arriving and departing.

PARTICIPATION STATION: Typically 2 hour shifts. An information desk where you can recruit more volunteers on site and answer questions about where/when things are happening. (We'll make sure you have that information!)

MOOP SWEEP: Approximately 30 minute shifts. MOOP is Matter Out Of Place, aka "litter". Grab a trash bag from the Participation Station and wander the grounds of the site, picking up any litter that you find. (Of course, anyone is welcome to do this at any time during the event! Please help keep the site clean so those in charge of break down can get home and get rest as well.)

All training will be done as the shift changes hands, if it's your first time, please show up 5-10 minutes early so you can observe and learn from the previous shift. (Does not apply to MOOP sweeps.)

(The exceptions to the 2 hour shifts occur during the dinner period, where shifts are 1 hour long to allow time for those using the meal plan to get food.)
