hope you find a home for this dear one; because cats are amazing creatures - playful, mysterious, exotic and ethereal...if an apt. complex does not accept pets - or a roomate is allergic to one; I'd live alone elsewhere or with someone else

*thousands of years ago cats were worshipped as Gods by Egyptians...they have never forgotten this* And neither should we.

Right on Scarlet!!! BOO HISS OP!!! Cats/pets are not disposable "property". This entire approach lacks sensitivity!!! Someone just happened to move in and have a cat? Was everyone out to lunch when this happened? Now the poor cat gets shuffled off as though it was just an albatross? WTF? Poor cat! It's "guardian" does NOT deserve to be the caretaker of another living thing!

I agree with you too, it is bullshit, it's like when I go on Craig's List and see animals "needing" to be rehomed because of moving and new place doesn't allow pets, well I guess you sure didn't look very hard for a new place to move, now did you! I have NEVER had a hard time finding a place to live that also allowed my fur babies, it's bullshit, but don't get me started on this kind of thing or this thread will be about 20 minutes of reading long. It is horseshit, and it makes me so steaming angry how human fuckers have made animals so disposable. My family has NEVER gotten rid of an animal we took in EVER!

hey guys, I know this is a sensitive subject and I'm an animal-lover cat-mommy myself...

but please don't criticize lucas for posting this. It's not his cat (I believe, given what he's said about it.) and he may just be trying his best under a situation that's out of his control.

          kthxbye :P

I don't think anyone was criticizing Lucas just commenting on the situation, animals not being expendible and roomates. (who may sometimes be
            :-)

no what happened is I told my roomate it's fine for his gf to move in as long as she doesn't have a cat. He said she does but that he'll talk to her and they'll do something about it. Then he supposedly forgets..... until the last minute....

That just sucks, and now of course, as per usual, the only one that will suffer in all of this is this poor cat, boyfriend should just get an assbeating if you want my 2 cents ;-(

    is it a black cat?

Yes, it's black. From another post of Lucas': 3 years old, pretty fun, and gets along well with other cats.

I have nothing to do with the cat or the situation involved - just passing along info I read somewhere else. Hopefully more info might get the poor kitty adopted.
