What are some of your favorite love songs?

I've been waiting to do a fun themed night for a while, and the day after Valentine's Day seems perfect to do a night full of love songs! DJ Alex will be the perfect guest too, as his radio show had a different theme every week (and he even did a two-part show on the good and bad sides of love). I'll be decorating Catalyst with lots of balloons, making red heart-shaped cookies, getting our favorite earwig honey and chalk heart 'i love you' candies to pass out, and making it a fun night to celebrate the human race's most obsessive fascination - Love! The good, the bad, and the ugly kinds will all be on display this month.

But we all have to have some favorite love songs, hopefully with good and bad emotions and memories associated. My top 5, in no particular order:

1. XTC - 1000 Umbrellas
2. Howard Jones - Everlasting Love
3. OMD - Talking Loud and Clear
4. Soft Cell - Say Hello, Wave Goodbye
5. The Cure - M

          If it wasn't all New Wave pre-90's, I'd also be all over "Every You, Every Me" by Placebo. Great pick!

          Somehow I don't see that getting played at The Pleasure Principle. Might have to check out the 2nd room at Barracuda for that one. I got to hear "Pour Some Sugar On Me" there. WOOOOOOO!
