Chill Before Serving

Hey everyone!

Send some love and safe-journeys energy to the band this coming week! Captain Leo Starwind, SafariAri (Alien Communications Expert), Mike (Commander Redshirt), JenJen (Activities Director), Brandon, Jacob (BamBam), and our manager, Nicki are heading out on Monday to begin the first leg of the Chill Before Serving Tour!

They leave early Monday morning to arrive at Heartland Festival in Kansas on Wednesday night, then after the festival head out into Missouri, Dallas, Houston, and Austin, and may play other dates along the way there and back. Expect the band to be out for almost three weeks, then back in Vegas to rock the city before they go out again at the end of July.

June dates will be posted soon, so keep an eye out, and thanks for your support!

We on The Raft have so much to be thankful for. THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to the band fund--your donations made the trip to Starwood possible. THANK YOU to Jeff and Spinner and the Vegas Vortex for the loan of the trailer. We deeply appreciate it! THANK YOU to everyone who sent out good energy and well wishes.

The show at Starwood was highly successful! The band rocked the main stage for about 250 people and got nothing but high compliments and gratitude for bringing their energy and music to the festival. It was a dream come true!

Our homecoming show is this Friday at Dino's, at 10pm. Dino's is on Las Vegas Blvd. near Oakey. Hope to see you there!

Battle of the Bands last night

Hey all! Thanks to everyone who came to the final round of the Battle last night! It was a great show and a great night. Out of almost forty bands, Leo Starwind & The Raft came in 2'nd!! It was a blast! Congrats to Kil Jaden, who took first place, and also props to DIM and Mordor who all put on great shows.

Next shows are coming up: July 13th (Friday the 13th) at MJ's on Spring Mt and Jones
July 24th--STARWOOD! Sherman, NY
Back in town first week of August with a show at Dino's on LV Blvd
on August 3rd.

Thanks again for all the support our fans gave to the band through the Battle! The crowd at the show was off the hook!

Hey all!

Leo Starwind & The Raft is playing Starwood! Woo hoo! It’s a huge festival and we are sure that they will blow up that stage!

There are seven musicians and three support people, all the band equipment, and the usual festival gear to move across the country from Las Vegas to New York and back. Wow!

If you’ve ever rocked out at a gig, or enjoyed the Bliss Ninja CD in your car, or listened to Split Toe…if you are excited about a professional, local band singing about the Goddess out loud to the bar crowds…if you want to support the band and don’t know how—here are some ideas to help The Raft get to their dream gig:

1. Make a donation to the hat on www.blissninja.com. This is a PayPal account—anything you have to give would help so much!

2. We need a trailer to haul the music equipment so the guys can live in the van while they travel. The loan of a covered trailer would be ideal. Any other ideas are welcome.

3. Come to the gigs and buy CDs and T-Shirts! :)

Our community teaches us manifestation, and to ask for what we need. This is us asking for what we need to get the band to Starwood. Namaste, and thank you!

THREE Weekend gigs!

Tonight there is a short gig at Beauty Bar--first time there, I'm sure we will rock the house!

FRIDAY night: CHEYENNE'S SALOON on Cheyenne and Decatur. Bands start at 10. This is a regular gig, not a Battle round!

SATURDAY night: VEGAS ROCKS MAGAZINE Rock and Blues Jam at Barbeque Masters. The Raft is sponsoring this jam and there will be local press and such there. This will be a great time to see the band!
