Asking someone to ride with you

Here's another question for the rocking horse lady. Take the following situation, you're a guy at the faire and you see the rocking horses. Then you look around and see a beautiful lady that you'd like to get to know better. What better way, you think, then to ask her to ride on the rocking horse with you? Now here's the questions, and I'm sure you've got lots of experience of seeing this, what tips do you have for this young man to approach the lady? What etiquette rules should he follow? What cautions and warnings are there? Does he need to worry about whether she's a participant or a patron? What techniques have you seen that have worked? And conversely what techniques have you seen that have failed miserably? Do you have any interesting stories about this kind of thing to share? And what are the funniest moments, the most embarrassing moments, and the most heart touching moments that you seen. I'm sure you seen many many interesting situations occur on your rocking horses. Now, reverse the questions and what if the lady wants to ask a gentleman?

So miss rocking horse lady, enquiring minds want to know...

  • Richard, as usual, GREAT questions!!

I read this aloud to Les, his response is as follows:
"First of all do NOT, under any circumstances, ask a lady to 'Ride a Big Woody with you!' ...Unless you are well acquainted and can say that with a straight face!!"

"Second, always portray yourself as self-confident while riding with a lady. (e.g.; squeeling and hiding behind her back while hiding tears of fear, will likely NOT be conducive to the success of this conquest..or the evening!!."

    Ooops, gotta run, finish later...xoxo
