Update from Walker River Paiute Reservation
30 Mar 2008

Finisia, Kimmie Jo, and John arrived and setup camp in Shurz, Nevada today, a couple of days early. Forrest and a friend will be arriving tomorrow afternoon from Idaho. They have already began their "auto tours" with interested local residents into the surrounding countryside and are very excited and energized by the positive reactions of the locals that joined them on the first day.

Several Native American families joined in and the children were especially enthusiastic about getting their hands dirty while learning about these wild natural plants that sustained their ancestors on this land. One young boy was so excited by the sweet, delicious roots they were finding, that he turned the barrel of his toy rifle into a root digging tool. Another young girl remarked that these plants are growing around their schoolyard.

With this early enthusiastic response of the locals, "Coyote Camp" is looking forward to a very bountiful, worthwhile, productive, meaningful and fulfilling "Rewilding Camp" in Shurz, Nevada.

If you are interested in joining them at Shurz, they are camped with their wagon and horses 1 mile south of Schurz, on the land behind the Smokeshop / Truck Stop on Highway 95.
