if we've covered this before, but I'm in love with Gordon Ramsay. I have fantasy of Gordon Ramsay ripping GW Bush and Dick Cheney a new one. Oh, beautiful bliss! He puts Simon Cowell to utter shame. But I like Simon too. Spank me, I have a shameless weakness for bitchy Brits.

Wed, March 26, 2008 - 12:06 PMI hate to admit it, but I'm with you on the Gordon Ramsey thing. He's such a pain in the ass, but there is just that something... that je ne sais quoi, oui?
Just recently, I found his show on BBC America, where he helps rescue failing restaurants, and I am completely addicted! I can't help myself. There is just something about him. Of course, he's a surly bully with big bollox and a bigger mouth, but still, I noticed the a softer, cuddlier side to him.
We also have a show in the States called "Hell's Kitchen" where he is ruthless tyrant. But even then, I caught the show where he booted a woman off for her lack of skill only to go on and arrange for her to go to a proper cooking school - at his own expense.
If he wasn't married with kids, I might be all over that., :-) -

Yes, Gordon Ramsey. I wouldn't watch Hell's Kitchen because I've been in the business for so long and have worked with so many neurotic chefs. I started watching Kitchen Nightmares this past season, though. And the BBC reruns....yeah... -

Thu, March 27, 2008 - 8:01 PMI've worked in a few kitchens myself, mostly as a server, but some cooking duties. It seems to be some universal thing that chefs scream and yell. I just don't get it. And, during one brief stint making pizzas with my profanity-free, polite manner of requesting the staff to do the work for which they are actually being paid to do.... well, it turns out that my style was perceived as wimpy. Can you imagine? It is as if people expect to be treated so badly!

Did you all know that Piers Morgan just won Celebrity Apprentice with Donald Trump? All the winnings went to charity and Piers was "Fallen Heroes of Intrepid"...........it's a charity for veterans of the Iraqi war. They raised over $325,000 for them. Pretty cool. So, yes, it seems that a lot of Americans dig the "Bitchy Brits". Sort of refreshing after putting up with all the "Arrogant Americans". -
