I propose that:

This is the 2nd "season" of the S.H.I.T., although the first season was very, very short. The event at that took place at Burning Man 2006 shall henceforth be known as S.H.I.T. I (That's a roman numeral 1, like Super Bowl I and SuperBowl XXVI - or whatever the hell it is now). Next year's BM event shall be called the S.H.I.T. II and then S.H.I.T. III in '08 and S.H.I.T. IV in '09 and so on...

There are so many wonderful tournament structures to choose from... Round-Robin, Double Elimination, many more... I'll throw out one idea to get the hoop spinning, so to speak:

We can make it really complicated, with preliminary regional events (LA Decom, SD Decom, Fuente, Singularity, Alma Paradiso, Xara?, Singularity, Elysium, etc.) that lead up to the Finals at BM'07. The winner from each of the regional events will not have to participate in the preliminary rounds at BM'07 as they already have won a regional (= preliminary) round.

Those who did not win a regional event, along with anyone new, will have a 2nd chance at winning a preliminary round at BM'07. The winners of the Regional and Preliminaries will then continue to duel until there is one...

Remember, it is an "Invitational" Tournament. Should we set up a committee to determine invitees?
