Re: "No Pirates Allowed"
Mon, May 26, 2008 - 10:43 PMOK, I wasn't arrested, and it wasn't a thing with the police, but I was hassled on Saturday over carrying a monopod (tripod, except one not three), folded up and attached to my backpack. The ludicrous thing was that I was taking pictures at an anime convention, where people were walking around with lots worse and bigger than a monopod. -

Mon, May 26, 2008 - 11:07 PMdidn't you know................it's in the small print of the Homeland Security Act : "anyone carrying a monopod is a sure sign of a terrorist act. Tripods are acceptable if they are clearly labeled with one of the large networks logo's i.e. NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, CSPAN, The Weather Channel." -
