The Peace Garden was founded by Mark Dragonfly Freeman and Silverstar Red Crow in 2000, after living and working together spiritually for many years. On Feb. 7, 2002, a 20’ lavender Peace Pole, with the word PEACE written on it in 13 languages, in response to the "War on Terror", was planted in the front Peace Garden, which also sports a purple fence, a working herbaceous border, bulb beds, trees, a Prayer Arbor and a garden bench for quiet contemplation and prayer. The front Peace Garden is open from dawn to dusk and welcomes those in need of focus to come and sit, weed or simply talk to the Earth Spirits, who are plentiful, as are the bees. Hang simple charms, Honor Bundles or leave positive gifts behind in the garden. All positive gifts are met with prayers and are used, gifted or recycled.

The Peace Garden has held many Earth-based rituals and hosted visitors from many parts of the world over the last decade; creating Sacred Space on a 24/7/365 basis and sound and fair Earth-stewarding.

We foresee many changes for the garden in 2009/2010. Always staying open for reinvention, we plan on a new color scheme and a new improved Peace Pole. In celebration of a new diverse administration, we are contemplating brown (for people of color and grounding) and red (the color of our common blood). Stay tuned for new pictures, Circle and garden volunteering opportunities and public schedules.

We at The Peace Garden believe all people, regardless of wealth, prominence, education, nationality, age or gender deserve and need REIKI. It is our choice to give Reiki freely, without fees to as many people possible in this lifetime. Dragonfly travels to faires and festivals, passing attunements and giving Reiki sessions without fees all over the Pacific Northwest.
