3/4" connectors for a canadian collapsible
i sort of figured out how to get the connectors available here (from home depot and can.tire) to fit the tubing i found at the home depot in markham (green stripe, 100psi, 3/4" inside diameter).
since the connectors are pretty long, i cut off the last portion of one side. then i sanded that same side down with some rough sand paper. cut up the tubing, heated them up, stuck the unsanded side in each of the 4 pieces. i also made sure to mark the ends that matched! almost forgot that. it took awhile to sand them enough so that they slide easily in and apart, but not so much that they came apart.
add the bungie through. tied the end in a knot, then covered it with several loops of hard wire. voila! connect them again and the hoop whirls like a charm.
