Re: Great/fun YouTube video
Mon, February 11, 2008 - 9:20 PMThanks, Rig! I'd love to hear what people think of this. Specifically, I'd like to know:
1. was this your first time seeing the genitals of a transman on testosterone?
2. if so, how did the video make you feel?
3. if not, how did the video make you feel?
any other comments or questions you might want to add.

Re: Great/fun YouTube video
Mon, February 11, 2008 - 10:03 PMTo be fair, I'll go first.
I've seen my own T-enhanced genitals. I've seen photos of T-enhanced genitals. That's about it.
This was the first time I saw anyone dress up their genitals and play with them. I have to admit, it made me a little uncomfortable to see the different shapes he formed his genitals into. I'm from New England. We're very staid there. If we're playing with our genitals, it's usually with one goal in mind.
But I did like seeing genitals that more or less looked like mine. It's comforting, I think, for a member of a minority group to see themselves represented in the media. And our genitals are rarely seen, except by medical professionals and those magnificently intelligent, charming, and discerning people who have sex with us. So I appreciated the video for what it does in terms of educating people who would not otherwise know what a transman’s genitals look like. That is, a transman on T who has not had genital reconstruction surgery.
I think the video did a good job of demystifying a transman’s genitals in a non-threatening, fun, and easygoing way. Altho I do worry that some folks will think our genitals are shaped like starfish.

Re: Great/fun YouTube video
Mon, February 11, 2008 - 11:03 PMgood questions. I've seen my own junk and those of other guys on T but not really in up close and non-sexual way. Usually there have been other things to do with them.
It made me laugh when I saw it at first but it also seems a bit odd especially after seeing it at the SF queer film festivals and the guys talk about how eyes and stuff were falling off and going all over the place. done CBT on trans junk but putting googlie eyes on it never came up. -

Tue, February 12, 2008 - 5:18 AMHi Turtle!
Did you see "Trannymals Go To Court" at the SF Queer Festival? Did you like it? Knowing Dylan, I'm biased, but I loved it.

Re: Great/fun YouTube video
Tue, February 12, 2008 - 5:11 AMHey Dean,
Well, no, this was not my first time seeing genitals on T. I've been lucky enough to know a more than a few and even helped one man pump his to the point that it was larger than some bio-dicks I've known.
I loved the video as well a the rest of Dylan's work. You should see his Xmas card! He has a line of postcards too.
I think anytime you take something out of it "normal," "expected" mode and proudly show it off its a good thing, makes it easier for those who are totally un-clued to get an idea of reality.
LOTS of love and learning.
Hugs
