On Monday March 2nd 2009, a very special musical artist will be performing a public concert at 7pm at Mountain View High School in Kingsley, Pennsylvania. Admission will be $5 for adults, $3 for students.

Ondrej Smeykal, a didgeridoo player from the Czech Republic, will be kicking off his spring 2009 USA Tour at the school. In addition to a concert, Ondrej will be working with the students in the MVHS Music Department for two days.

The didgeridoo, which is indigenous to the Aborigine people of Australia, is an ancient wind instrument that has been adapted in a modern style by this fantastic musician.

Ondrej Smeykal has been playing the didgeridoo for almost 20 years, and performs at concerts and music festivals all over the world. His distinct style can best be described as a “one-man didgeridoo orchestra” that must be heard to be believed.
