Arghh...I'm so depressed, TMG is the same weekend as the Grassroots Festival just down the road in Trumansburg. I live very near Treman Park and missed last year's TMG because I was across the country. It was the weekend before the 'Roots festival which was great. I was so looking forward to this year's TMG but now with the overlap am feeling blue. The 'Roots festival is a 4 day celebration of roots and world music and has onsite camping. It draws heavily from the local alternative community and likely reduces potential TMG attendees. I have family that comes in every year and know a number of people for whom it is a focal point of their summer activities. Maybe it will provide some spillover and be a good thing for TMG. It's a sad thing for me as I intended to be as involved in TMG as i could be, up front and as an attendee. Now it will be limited at best. Was this a conscious decision?

Yup... it could possibly reduce the amount of people who attend TMG.

Either way, I'm not worried about it. :)

Yes, it was a conscious decision tho choose that weekend.
I was not able to get the pavilion for three days in a row the previous weekend.

If you really want to go, I'm sure you will find a way to be there... see you in July! :)

Thanks for the comments. I most definitely will be there at some point(s). I love that there's a didge fest near me. I had hoped to spend a lot of energy and time volunteering beforehand, as well as attending as many workshops as possible, to support the endeavor. I'm just disappointed that my 'roots prep and attendance precludes that level of involvement.

I'm sure it will be great regardless...see you then! :)
