What:

An Intimate 16 Person Three Day Long Immersion with Jill Parker! Join us for an amazing, entertaining, fully integrated dance immersion.
In this immersion you will experience Jill’s technique drills, stylization, philosophies, musicality, improvisation, coaching for creating original combinations, as well as the importance of understanding classic belly dance and folkloric styles. This is a great opportunity to learn, grow, immerse, have fun, meet new people, expand your community, bond, and get to know Jill.

Who:

JILL PARKER is an international, award winning instructor, choreographer and director. Jill is the "Mama of the modern tribal fusion bellydance movement", an original member of Fat Chance Belly Dance, director of The San Francisco Foxglove Sweethearts, Ultra Gypsy, Djun Djun, and a frequent collaborator with Theater Flamenco. With 20 years of experience, she has trained many top dancers in the genre. Jill's big heart and deep love for this form shine through in her inspiring classes and intoxicating performances. She is an exceptional teacher with a knack for demystifying this sensuous dance making its techniques accessible to new dancers, while offering tremendous insight for refinement and breakthrough to advanced dancers. She has an amazing wealth of knowledge, is a warm teacher, has a very giving nature, and an easy to understand approach. Jill is exceptionally gifted in breaking down information for optimal learning, and great at honing in and giving you what you need to grow.

It goes without saying that Jill is an unparalleled teacher and innovator in our field. She has a knack for breaking down material in a clear, fun, focused & easy to absorb manner. In the Drills & Juicy Combos workshop, Jill offers insight into her trend setting approach to belly dance through the use of energetic technique drills and stylish combinations designed to support your technique and performative skills. Class will begin with yoga & conditioning created for you to bring into your own practice, safely building muscle awareness, isolation, flexibility, grace & postural alignment, ever important elements of stunning performance.
