hi ladies,
looks like i'll be headed across the pond to come and share what i've got with ya!
i'm super excited, i had such a great time teaching and performing in the UK this past spring- i may have met some of you along the way, please do say hi here...
For those of you who don't know me, i'd like to introduce my self.
I began my belly dance studies with an oriental/folkloric teacher, i then moved home to San Francisco and started taking with Jill Parker and Ultra Gypsy, i was asked to perform and start working with the company early on and so i dedicated myself fully to tribal and what would over the course of a few years become tribal fusion.
I spent the last 3 of my years with UG serving as co-director, helping to shape the theatrical vision, dynamic choreography, and innovative costuming that makes Ultra Gypsy the tour de force that it is! i have in the last year left ultra gypsy to further develop my personal dance experiance, and have helped to launch the Barbary Coast Shakedown, a colaboration of dancers that has included Mira Betz, Liz Strong(newest member of the tribal BDSS girls-way to go liz!), Susan Frankovich, Frederique, and Jill Parker. exciting projects, i tell ya!
during my 8 years with Ultra Gypsy i have had the honor to share the stage and collaborate with Rachel Brice, Sharon Kihara, Zoe Jakes, and Heather Stants. I currently keep my studies up with Mira Betz, Suhalia, contemporary dance, yoga, and pilates.
check out my web site www.rosehipsdancer.com
and feel free to ask any questions and please introduce your self to me.
cheers,
rose
