Uzume's classes were great, think they have broad appeal as their workshops include cues for us traditionalists, as well as inovative stuff for fusion gals. Heather's stuff was great too. Oh....this year was so lovely that I want everyone back. Would be good if Domba ladies, Wendy Marlet and co came back too. Ooooooo Solace! As for teachers that haven't come before....I am gloriously ignorant and need help!!!! -

I wonder if Sam Hasthorpe would be free - she's a great teacher.
And er - a creche please!!!!!!!!!

Sam is now a tall ship sailor but still teaches and performs Bollywood, Bhangra and some new crazy interpretations of bellydance around the world.
Erm... obviously she also sometimes speaks of herself in the third person ;)
Upcoming dance calendar includes TribOriginal (Asheville, North Carolina, USA), ShadowDance (San Francisco, California, USA) and a bellydance cruise to the Caribbean in December with Ava Fleming and Kami Liddle.
If'n you want me, let me know! I usually live and work as a sailor and gunner on a replica of an 18th century sailing vessel over the summer, so I would need to work out dates.
But gosh I would love to come back to Tribal Ford!

Sat, November 1, 2008 - 7:20 AMI believe Unmata will be hosted by Hilde in Brighton in March; the Uzume will be teaching at the Sirocco festival in Somerset in April; it would be good to have someone different!
Can we not get Miss R2 the B or Sharon Kihara? Sam is a great teacher, too, but I think all the BDSS girls feel beholden to Miles Copeland, although they don't even have a contract with him!
Sahira is lovely, too (One of her dvds is the Arabian Spices one); I took a Ghawazee improv class with her at Tribal Fest 8 and it was brilliant!
Don't forget Gothla in July '09, too! We'll have Ariellah, Shakra, Asharah, Morgana, Deva Matisa, Dawn o'Brien, Bridie Brzibam, Lynne Chapman, Christine Emery and myself!
